Me and Bri are now back home after a long day at school. As Bri and I walked to my room, we heard noises coming from inside. We looked at each other, then back at the door. I carefully opened the door and took a peek inside. I saw Aaron laying on the bed. I let out a sigh of relief.

I turned to Bri, "It's Aaron". I heard Bri also let out a sigh of relief. We walked inside quietly because Aaron looked exhausted. "Aaron?" I said out loud.

Nothing. We heard nothing. Bri and I looked at each other again but this time we were worried. "Aaron" I said again. We began to hear little snores. I smiled. They were tired. Understandable, a lot happened today.

I sat on the bed and started playing with their hair. Aaron got closer to me and wrapped their arms around my waist. "Aww" I looked over at Bri. You could see her eyes lit up. I shock my head and smiled. I looked at Aaron again, something about them is amazing, mysterious but amazing.

They started smiling and I knew they knew what I was thinking. "You're reading my mind, aren't you?" they didn't say anything, just continued to smile. I never knew a demon would have a nice smile. But Aaron surely does. They're smile got bigger. "I hope you know you're safe. You're safe with me. With Bri. We won't hurt you."

They opened their eyes and looked at me. "I know love. I know." I smiled. They smiled back. "Hey Aaron, you hungry?" Bri asked. Aaron looked at her and nodded. Bri nodded back. "I'll make you something to eat." Aaron smiled. "Thank you Bri" Bri smiled and walked out.

"How are you feeling, Aaron?" I asked. They looked at me and their smile dropped. Uh oh. They looked away. "I don't know how I'm feeling." I just stared at them, waiting for them to continue. "I feel weird but better." I nodded as they shifted on my lap.

"Does your mind feel light?" I asked. They nodded and smiled. "It does." I smiled. I'm glad Aaron feels better. They needed to let out the blame they had. Even though it's not their fault.

"Still hurts though" their smile disappeared again. They looked up at the ceiling, no longer looking at me. You could see it in their eyes that they're hurting. And I don't think that's ever going to go away.

"I know it does. It's normal for something like that to still hurt." They looked at me again. They had the softest look in their eyes. You would think they're the sweetest, kindest person you would ever meet, but little did you know they're a demon.

"That's something that's never going to go away." They nodded and looked back up at the ceiling. It's like they were thinking, I just don't know about what. "You're right. Something I wish it could go away but it doesn't. It's always going to stay with me no matter what."

Knock knock

Me and Aaron both looked at the door and back at each other. "Come in" I said. The door opened and Bri walked in with food. Aaron shot up from my lap and patiently waited for Bri to hand them their food.

"I see you're excited" Bri chuckled. Aaron nodded their head multiple times with a smile on their face. Bri handed their food to them. Aaron happily took the food and went over to my desk. They sat down and ate their food like a happy little child.

You can tell that al their worries and pain were going away. I would kill to see them like that all the time. Seeing them so happy you would think, why would anyone want to hurt them. Although they mean, rude, and intimidating; they have the kindest soul. Yes, even if they are a demon.

I'm still wondering why anyone would want to hurt Aaron. Yes, I know they're a demon and what they did to me. But I can feel that Aaron doesn't want to hurt anyone. I think it's their anger getting the best of them. I want to help them, but I don't know how. And Aaron isn't the type to ask for help. Aaron is the of person that doesn't want help.

Doesn't ask for it, even if they really need it. They chose to do it by themselves. So actually how do I help Aaron?
