Ashley's POV 

As my time I spent back in Scotland it gave me the break I needed. Dom and Adam had to get back on tour with Kelsie since she wanted to go. I decided to take the rest of the time visiting with Mia's family. I did take Chloe to that abandoned haunted place and did our own little ghost hunting. Chloe flew back with me and I packed up to go to Highland Park the area me and Mia are from. I know I am a Scottish girl that was told that I was born in the US but really California is my home since I know it better. When I got to the town it was nice to see them. Mia's mom is doing well but she's seen better days. 

There isn't much to talk about with my time there other than helping them out with things. That whole week I didn't work so I could enjoy my time with them. Mia's parents got a divorce and he has just vanished so it was just her mom and brother. Mia's brother doesn't really like me so I don't talk to him and he is the only person that is in contact with their dad. The sad thing is she doesn't have much time left but seeing her in pain hurts more than anything else. When she passes she will be out of pain. Eventually I pulled up to the house after saying bye to her since i know it will be the last time I've talked to her. Dom and Adam have gotten off tour early and wanted to surprise me. 

When I got into the house I shut the door taking a deep breath before walking further into the house. I unpacked everything and my manager called me. 

Ashley- Whats up 

Manger- Look you can't keep avoiding me 

Ashley- What do you mean avoiding you 

Manger- For the whole week you have been back in LA you haven't taken any of my calls 

Ashley- I told you I was going to be busy

Manager- With what 

Ashley- My chosen mother is fucking dying and I just had to say bye to her for a final time who I was helping all week

Manger- You have a job to maintain 

Ashley- And are you my boss

Manger- No but its my job to keep you on track 

Ashley- Yeah and Dom monitors my team 

Manger- He isn't your boss

Ashley- Exactly but he wants to make sure that I'm not stressing out 

She kept cussing me out and I already had a bad day. I got an angry call from a customer on my way home about a broken mug that I had no control over. 

Manger- You need to put your job first

Ashley- I told you that you had.......you know what your fired good luck on getting another job 

I had paused since I saw the guys standing in the kitchen. They had looked up when I walked into the room. After I hung up before letting her talk any further I just walked to Dom and he hugged me. 

Dom- Hard day 

Ashley- Horrible day more like

Dom- Whats going on 

Ashley- I had to say my byes to her mom because I know I won't be able to in the hospital since its coming up soon, then someone called me because they were pissed about fedex breaking the mug in the process of delivering, then my fired manger would not shut up. Like what did I do 

Dom- Nothing 

Adam- So do you want someone new or 

Ashley- No James know how I am and it works out perfectly for the situation and then he can help me out with work again. God this was going to be so much easier if Mia was my manger
