(It's early the next morning. A young beautiful woman with long red hair and green eyes is walking into Lava's quarters. As she opens the door, she notices a folded piece of paper lying on the floor, she picks it up and sees that it has "to Lava from Magma" written on it)
Oh, Magma must have had something on his mind and couldn't wait until the morning to tell Lava. (thought Adara as she laughs) Sometimes that boy is so impatient.
(Adara shuts the door and continues walking into Lava's quarters. She makes her way to his bedroom. As she opens his door, he is still lying in bed but he lifts his head to see what the noise is)
That's right, you were coming back today. I forgot about that (chuckled Lava as he rolled out of bed to greet her).
How nice of you to forget the day that your girlfriend was coming back into town (joked Adara). You could have had breakfast made or something.
(Lava meets Adara in front of the bed to embrace her)
(As Lava is holding Adara in his arms, he says) I missed you, I always do.
I missed you too. (replied Adara as she starts to blush) Oh, I found this as I opened your door. (Adara holds up the note and hands it to him. As Lava grabs it, he notices that it has "to Lava from Magma" written on it)
Why would Magma write me a note (thought Lava) He better not be trying to get out of training.
(Adara and Lava pull apart as he starts to read the note. As he reads the note, his face appears to get sadder and sadder as his eyes fill with tears. About two minutes later, Lava drops to his knees in shock. Immediately, Adara drops to his level and puts her hands on the side of his face)
What's wrong Lava!? (Adara asks him panicking) What did the note say!?
(Lava, who is staring emotionally ahead, hands her the note without looking at her. As soon as she grabs the note, she can see tear marks all over the paper. She immediately realizes that those had to be Magma's tears hitting the paper as he wrote the note. From this alone on top of seeing Lava in the shape that he is in, her eyes start to tear up as she begins to read the note)
"Dear Lava, This is the hardest thing that I've ever had to do. I've thought long and hard about this and I don't think that our plan will work. I'm just not a fighter, we've tried training before and it's just not in me. I know you don't have many options in this situation and you want what's best for me but I came up with a new plan, the only thing that I can think of that won't result in my guaranteed death. I'm going to run away and try to get as far as possible from the Brotherhood so hopefully, they can never find me. I don't know how this ends but at least I have a chance at surviving. I'm sorry Lava, I'm sure you're mad at me but I truly feel that this is the best thing to do. This probably means that we will never see each other again and I feel that fate might be worse than death but I'm too afraid to die. I can't stop crying as I write this letter but I know this is the best thing to do. I'm sorry Lava, I know that I've always been a burden to you and Adara. You both did everything for me and kept me safe ever since our parents died. Now it's my turn to protect myself and stop being a burden to you both. I've tried to think about everything that will happen because of my decision. The General granted us five days of training so after the fifth day, he will probably approach you and ask you about it. To keep you and Adara safe, you will have to lie and say that I told you that he sent me on an assignment. Please do this Lava and don't come looking for me. I would never forgive myself if you or Adara got hurt or worse because of my actions. Lava, I love you and will miss you for the rest of my life. You were the best older brother and you did an amazing job taking care of me. Tell Adara that I love her and will miss her too. We were both lucky that she came into our lives. I hope somehow we get to see each other again, until then, I love you both. Please don't be mad at me."
