Overcoming the Brotherhood arc Ch 6 Training Continues 1

(Three days have passed since Captain Kenneth, Captain Azar and Lieutenants Spark, Lava and Edan had their training sessions. They are well rested and ready to train some more)

(Lava walks to Captain Azar's living quarters)

(He knocks on the door) Are you ready to train again Captain?

(Captain Azar opens the door) Yes, I'm ready. Let's go.

(Lava follows his Captain to squad 8's training ground. He sees Captain Kenneth and his two Lieutenants already there waiting)

Uh Captain, why are we at squad 8's training ground? (asked Lava)

I thought it would be a good idea for you and Lieutenants Spark and Edan to train together. Captain Kenneth and myself will watch your training session then he and myself will train.

(Lava walks toward Lieutenants Spark and Edan)

(Lieutenant Spark yells) Lava, I won't take it easy on you just because we are friends!

I wouldn't want you to take it easy on me, you might get killed.

Oh really? (replied Lieutenant Spark)

Enough with the small talk! (Lieutenant Edan charges towards Lava. Lava Flame Steps right past him and starts charging towards Lieutenant Spark)

How did he Flame Step past me so easily? (thought Lieutenant Edan)

(Lava, still charging towards Lieutenant Spark, starts to generate a Hinotama in his right hand. Lieutenant Spark covers his hand in fire from his fingertips to his wrist. Lava throws his Hinotama at Lieutenant Spark then Flame Steps to the side. Lieutenant Spark throws a punch with his hand that is covered in fire and makes a direct hit with Lava's attack. He punches it into two pieces then the Hinotama dissipates. Lieutenant Spark then flies towards Lava)

(Lieutenant Spark shouts) Lava that was a weak Hino...

(Lieutenant Edan kicks Lieutenant Spark out of the air into the training ground wall)

Don't forget about me. (uttered Lieutenant Edan)

(He then generates two Hinotamas, one in each hand, and throws one at Lava and the other one at Lieutenant Spark. Lava catches Lieutenant Edan's attack and throws it towards Lieutenant Spark)

(Lieutenant Spark sees both Hinotamas coming towards him)

Oh shit! (yelled Spark)

(Lieutenant Spark dodges the first one but has to catch the second one. As he is trying to push back the Hinotama, Lava flies towards him, keeping his eye on Lieutenant Edan. Lieutenant Edan then charges towards Lava)

Got him! (thought Lava)

(As Lieutenant Edan is closing in on Lava, he says to himself) He doesn't even see me coming. 

(Lava then starts to charge a Hinotama and then performs a Flame Step)

Where did he go? (Lieutenant Edan asked himself)

(Lava appears behind him and throws his Hinotama at his back, making a direct hit. Lieutenant Edan goes crashing into the ground)

That's interesting. (said Captain Azar)

What's interesting? (asked Captain Kenneth)

Earlier when Lieutenant Spark charged at Lava, when Lieutenant Edan was out of the near vicinity, Lieutenant Edan flew in and kicked Lieutenant Spark out of the air, Captain Kenneth staring at Captain Azar as he talks. Lava saw that and assumed if he charged at Lieutenant Spark, when Lieutenant Edan was once again out of the near vicinity, Lieutenant Edan would try to do the same thing to him. In other words, Lava charging towards Lieutenant Spark wasn't an attack towards Spark but it was a trap to set up and attack Lieutenant Edan.
