"right im sick of being in this house" James said standing up dramatically. Claire gave him a questionable look which he ignored.

"I heard there was a fun fair on in town" he said winking at us all which made dakota begin to beg Claire.

"Fine but if you throw up im not looking no after you because me and your dad are going on a date in the evening" Claire said tickling Dakota.

"actually speaking about that" she continued turning to face me. "I've asked Dakota's friends mum from school, if she could stay the night, by any chance would you be able to walk her there, its going to be dark late this afternoon and were leaving as soon as we come back from this so called fair" she asked hopefully, I could tell she was silently begging me which i enjoyed watching.

"yeah sure" i said and grabbed my shoes to get ready. Claire gave me a bright smile with my response. I swear this whole family is always happy.

"okay when we go around the rides i want you to hold one of our hands, its going to be super busy and we dont want you to get lost" james told dakota as we got out of the car.

"Ive never been to a fun fair" i mumbled more to myself than anyone. Claire and James turned around in sync with a shocked expression.

"why?" james asked his shocked face still plastered on his face. i smiled slightly finding their reactions amusing.

"my mum said the rides were dangerous and that the food wasnt properly cooked" i shrugged and began walking again which they soon caught up to me.

"Is your mummy my auntie?" Dakota asked. I swallowed as my throat suddenly became super dry. "uh yeah she was" i hoped Dakota would just drop it but she was so clueless.

"your mummy sounds strict" she said continuing but stopped speaking when she spotted the tea cups and started dragging us to the entrance.

"can we go on them please" she whined bouncing up and down and pointing at them. "Why dont you and Dakota go on them and Ill go on a bigger ride with Connie?" James suggested to Claire. she hesitantly agreed as we went our separate ways.

"sorry about dakota she didnt mean any harm" James said after we started walking around the fair.

"its alright shes just a kid" i said pushing my emotions down. "how about we go on that one" james pointed to a tall spinning ride.

"uh yeah sure why not" i trembled as my nerves surfaced and clearly were noticeable in my voice. James chuckled and walked closer to the queue.

James bought the tickets and we waited our turn, we watched other people go on and scream with terror, or maybe it was excitement I have no clue.

"next!" the fun fair employee yelled. I stepped forwards and sat down on the black plastic seat. The man pressed a large harness over me and then another large harness over James.

"ready kid?" he said leaning back in his seat. i let out a small laugh as he had his eyes close making it evident that he was trying to relax.

"your scared!" i teased poking him in the arm. He opened his eyes and glared at me "I am not!" he exclaimed prodding me back.

"if i didn't know any better you looked way more sc-" James said but was interrupted as we were flung into the air like rag dolls,  all that came out of our mouths were screams.

"This is so cool!" i yelled at the top of my lungs and turned my head to see James with his eyes closed again and had a weird facial expression . "I laughed obnoxiously prodding him again.

"Oh my god i feel like I'm going to be sick" he said stumbling off the ride with me following closely behind. "That was one of the best things I've ever done!" i exclaimed throwing my arms up in the air.
