*A hand reaches for phone and the phone is raised to an ear.*

Ellie: "Hello?"

GF: "Hello."

Ellie: "Hey what's up unknown caller"

GF: "Is that how you usually start conversations with someone you don't know?"

Ellie: "Nah I usually don't answer, but since it's *checks time*, past midnight and cold calls are most common in the morning, do I thought i'd entertain this one"

GF: "Oh really? What, this is just entertainment?"

Ellie: "Yeah I suppose so, things are kinda boring right now so sure. this is me entertaining myself"

GF: "Why don't you do something then, like, watch a movie?"

Ellie: "I don't really do movies i'm more of a book kinda gal"

GF: "Come on, books? aren't they a little lame and slow?"

Ellie: "Yeah they can be, but when you read fantasy books it can really take you to another place yano? Anyways look i'd love to stay and chat but I think i'm going to try and hit the hay soo this is me hanging up, bye stranger!"

GF: "Wait-"

*Ellie hangs up*

She walks into the kitchen and opens the fridge, the camera pans so we can't see the doorway behind the fridge. She thinks for a second, and takes out a drink. She then closes the fridge, and crouches down to look in a cupboard. The shot is the same but lowered again so the background is hidden.

She grabs snacks, one of which is popcorn.

*Phone rings*

Ellie: "The fuck do you want now?"

Ellie's Mum: "Sweetie?"

Ellie: "Oh *drops popcorn*, shit sorry Mum, I just got off the phone to some random so I thought it was them, what's up?"

*she leaves the popcorn as she is struggling to carry it all, she looks back at it on the floor with intent to come back for it*

Ellie's Mum: "We'll be back soon, don't worry about locking the front door, it'll save us some hassle, you know how many keys dad has"

Ellie: "Yeah that's fine, i'm getting into bed now so just try not to wake me up or i'll go psycho"

Ellie's Mum: "We'll be like mice honey"

Ellie: "Much appreciated, well, see you in the morning, night"

Ellie's Mum: "Night baby"

*She puts the phone down and throws herself on the bed*

*Phone rings*

Ellie: "Hello?"

GF: "I've been trying to get back to you but the line was busy?"

Ellie: "Yeah... erm sorry I was on the phone to a friend"

GF: "Oh, that's okay - so what were you talking about"

Ellie: "Talking about some weirdo who somehow has my number but should probably consider deleting it, byeee"

Ellie: "Okay the fuck do you want?"

GF: "Entertainment"

Ellie: "Take your own advice and go watch a fucking movie or something, i'm bored now"
