Scream!

"Jesus, the camera, hurry!"

The camera pans down to the police station. It's located in the middle of town. It's a fairly small station.

Laura: "*Walks towards Ben and Jane* Hey"

Ben/Jane "Hey, Hi"

Laura: "Any news?"

Ben: "She texted a minute ago saying they're nearly done, she's got a taser and everything!"

Laura: "Well shit, do they think she's in danger still?"

Ben: "I mean, whoever it was rang her specifically"

Laura: "Shit true, has she blocked the number?"

Ben: "The police have cloned her phone record to try and track back from there to trace the caller"

Laura: "Ah, clever"

Jane: "The wonders of modern technology, if they actually had to take her phone off her she would be even worse off considering she lives on the damn thing"

*They all chuckle*

*News vans pull up behind them*

Laura: "Jesus christ did they follow us?!"

*The large reporter, from earlier steps out*

Laura: "This fat fuck was harassing me earlier..."

Ben: "I'll handle this... Hey, buddy what the hell do you want?"

Reporter 2: "To do my job, whats the problem?"

Ben: "You'll find out what the problem is soon enough, bounce"

Reporter 2: "Not wise to threaten someone outside a station buddy..."

Laura/Jane "Ben, calm down"

Ben: "No i won't, our friend was nearly killed last night, her parents were, she doesn't need a camera pointed in her face and we certainly don't want to have them pointed at us"

Reporter 2: "Look hero, i'm not hurting anyone"

Ben: "That's really not the point"

Reporter 2: "Look am i interrupting something here? this is out in public, i'm allowed to be here as much as you are"

Ben: "It's called compassion, you tabloid cock suckers are all the same, no class!"

Reporter 2: "Look just go back to your girlfriend and your mum there and i'll do my job, you've already confirmed some details so thank you for that... anything else?"

Ben: "Jesus fucking christ... *Punches him*"

Laura/Jane: "BEN!!"

*The reporter doesn't retaliate and makes eye contact with an officer outside the station, the officer comes out and pins Ben down, as this is happening, Ellie emerges from the station.

Ben: "ELLIE!... That's my friend sir, please let me go!"

Officer 1: "Buddy you've just assaulted this gentleman here, you're going in there yourself anyway"

*He begins cuffing him*

Ellie: "What the fuck is going on?!"

*Laura and Jane run up to Ellie and hold her*

Ellie: "BEN!" *she screams and cries*.

Reporter 2: "EXCUSE ME ARE YOU THE VICTIM??!"

*As the reporter approaches Ellie, More reporters emerge and flashes of the cameras begin*

Laura: "Come on let's get out of here"

Ellie: "But Ben!"

Jane: "We'll need to come back"

Ben: "Just go i'll be out... *The officer pulls him away* Hey! easy, easy!"

*He's taken inside, the others walk off shrugging away the press*

*Ellie gets into Laura's car*

Laura: "Are you OK?"

Ellie: "Laura... I thought I was going to die...*cries*"

*They hug*

Laura: "It's OK. i'm so sorry, for you, your parents, I can't believe this..."

*The flashes keep going on the car window.*

Laura: "Fuck this, let me just get out of here first, you can stay at my place tonight"

Ellie: "Ok..."

*She slowly drives through the press and heads to the main road*

*Her phone starts ringing*

*Ellie jumps slightly and looks at the phone concerned.*

*Laura answers*

Laura: "Hello?"

Jane: "Hey are you two OK?"

Laura: "Yeah we just managed to get out we're heading back to my place"

Laura: "Okay, look i'll talk to you later i'm driving right now but i just wanted to check in, i'm heading back to the office to grab my things i left them in a bit of a rush"

Laura: "Okay, just take care, Ellie's going to stay the night with me"

Jane: "Okay that's good, look after yourselves"

Laura: "Will do, speak soon"

*Call ends*

They both look at eachother and draw a sharp breath.

The camera follows them from a distance as they drive away.
