Scream!

"Is that a threat?"

The camera cuts to Laura's house. It's the morning and the sun is peering through the windows.

Ellie wakes up from the blow-up bed on the floor. She rubs her eyes. She can't see Laura.

She hears her however.

She gets up, gets changed, and heads towards her.

She's sat at the top of the stairs, crying.

Ellie: "Laura?"

Laura: "*Sniffles* Hey uh... it's happened again. Surprise surprise!"

Ellie: "Jesus christ who?"

Laura: "Andrew. One of Rory's friends. Hollowed out and posted on social media."

Ellie: "Oh my god. Is Rory OK?"

Laura: "Yeah I was on the phone to him just now... He sounds exhausted"

Ellie: "I think we need to go see him. And the others."

Laura: "I told him i'd be around soon. Are you ready?"

Ellie: "I'll need a shower to freshen up first."

Laura: "OK of course, fresh towels are in there *points to cupboard*"

Ellie: "Thanks. I shan't be long"

We cut to Rory's house.

Rory: "Look. This has gotten beyond any of our stupid theories now. This is happening, and everyone in this room is both a target, and a suspect."

Peter: "My dad is flying back tonight, he'll only get here by tomorrow but he's going to be keeping close tabs on us."

Rory: "We appreciate that so much... We're well looked after, and that's all that matters."

Aaron: "Are we though?"

Rory: "Huh?"

Aaron: "You let him walk home alone."

Rory: "Are we seriously doing this right now?"

Aaron: "Yeah, we are. Do you think we'd be here right now if you stopped trying to stick your tongue down Sarah's throat and actually cared about a friend?"

Rory: "What the fuck? You have 5 seconds to get up and leave."

Aaron: "Or what?*stands up*"

Peter: "*stands between* Both of you, knock it off."

Rory: "I'm going to knock something off..."

Aaron: "Try it!"

Maisie: "This is pathetic..."

Rory: "What?"

Maisie: "Why are we arguing amongst ourselves?"

Rory: "Because this pint sized mommas boy is getting personal and trying to pin this on me, for NO reason?"

Sarah: "Rory, honestly it's fine..."

Rory: "Whatever. I'm not sticking around in this environment, it's toxic."

Maisie: "Rory?!"

Peter: "You can't leave man."

Rory: "Watch me"

He opens the front door.

Laura and Ellie walk in. Comedic timing.

Laura: "Hey"

Rory: "And now i'm back..."

Laura: "What's up? Is everything okay?"

Aaron: "Yeah it's all good."

Rory: "Whatever you say..."

Laura: "Oh come on... Are you guys for real? what has been going on in here? Wasn't your friend literally killed last night?"

Aaron: "Because of him..."

Rory: "This is exactly why i'm heading out."

Peter: "I wouldn't do that if i were you..."

They all look puzzled. Some are concerned by the remark.

Rory: "...What?"

Peter: "I messaged Chief Harry earlier, he wants us to head down to the station today."

Aaron: "What for?"

Peter: "To talk?"

Rory: "That wasn't really what he asked, he didn't think we were going there to stare lovingly into each other's eyes?"

Peter: "He wants a statement from us all."

Laura: "What about us two?"

Peter: "You guys should come too."

Maisie: "What a party this is turning out to be."

Laura: "I'm sorry are you here for fun?"

Maisie: "Aren't we all? We're all dying one way or another so let's just laugh it off!"

Ellie: "M... My parents were killed?"

Rory: "She didn't mean it like that?"

Maisie: "I mean what I said, i'm sorry about your parents and all but, we need to focus on the here and now. We're all totally fucked."

It comes across as sarcasm. Nobody wants to raise tensions anymore so the comment goes unchallenged.

Sarah: "Shall we head there then?"

They all agree. They head out to their cars one by one.

Rory: "See you guys there, Maisie, Sarah? You coming with me?"

Sarah; "Sure, shotgun"

Maisie: "Bitch!"

Sarah: "You know it*winks*"

They all depart for the station.
