Namjoon's Pov:

'They left, they left us alone, abandoned us.

It's all because of me, if i shouldn't have been here they would have taken hyung with them, he is all alone in an empty house all because of me.

Why can't I be useful for once?' Namjoon closed his eyes, mind being a mess, he couldn't get his thoughts aligned.

"Joon-ah? Where are you pup?" Namjoon's eyes widened when he heard the oh so familiar voice calling out his name, Namjoon panicked, 'N-no he can't see me, he needs to leave.'

"Baby, where are you?" Namjoon closed his eyes, pressing himself on the hard surface trying his best to make himself invisible.

'His voice is coming closer and he can't find me, if he does he will stay taking care of me, no it can't happen i won't let it happen.

Be quiet Namjoon, just be quiet so he can't hear you, if he won't find out where you are he will get tired and leave you alone and after some time a family will adopt him and he will live happily.'

Head clouded with guilt and sorrow

"Baby, why are you hiding here?" Namjoon flinched, looking up at the Feline, who was looking back at him, eyes filled with concern and confusion.

'He found me.'

"I'm asking something to you pup, answer me!" Yoongi deadpanned looking at his sweet little fluff ball, who's trying desperately to shrink himself to the size of an atom.

"H-hyung go away, you really need to leave." Namjoon said trying his best to avoid eye contact.

"Joonie baby, why are you doing this?" The older asked, with a velvet-like soft voice laced with concern.

"Everything—" Namjoon sobbed.

"Everything happened because of me, they left because of me, they left you because of me, it is all my fault, if i wasn't here you wouldn't have left behind, you wouldn't have stayed back in the need to protect me!" Namjoon practically screamed in an attempt to show the older male the truth.

"No baby, listen to me…" Yoongi tried only to get cut off.

"No hyung, you need to understand, they hate me, they would have been with you if i wasn't here, if i stayed at street and not with you." Namjoon weakly insisted, looking down in shame.

"Pup listen to me, protecting and being with you was my decision, and leaving us was theirs." He told the younger male, who looked up at him, eyes filled with confusion and resistance.

"You're not at fault baby." Yoongi whispered, looking in Namjoon's glossy eyes.

"I'm not?" Namjoon asked, tilting his head slightly as if he doesn't believe the words even a little bit.

"No, you're not a baby, you can never be, you are my strong, beautiful, intelligent and adorable little pup. Aren't you?" Yoongi tilted his head, a fond smile adorning his lips and Namjoon nodded his head.

"So, don't do that ever again, you mean the world to me, Joonie." He said while caressing my hair giving a soothing feeling that I drift into sleep.

Yoongi's Pov:

The older male looked at Namjoon's sleeping face so pure and innocent.

'How could he think that he is the reason that they left, how could he think that i will leave him.' Yoongi frowned, staring at the sleeping figure of the person he adores the most in the world.

"They left us because they want to not because of you pup, you can't keep blaming yourself, I know it's hard but we'll get through this together." Yoongi whispered to the sleeping pup in front of him, even though the younger can't really hear him.

The Feline closed his eyes, 'He's too precious to me, he just doesn't understand that, I know someday he will but for now i want to.... no need to keep him safe.'

"I will keep you safe Joonie, I promise." Yoongi promised himself looking at his beautiful baby.

Yoongi was watching Namjoon sleeping until he heard door creek open and frowned, the owners of the house are already out of the country, and Yoongi is sure they didn't had any relatives here, since they barely got any visitors.

The wooden door creaked once again, and Yoongi looked at the door of the room they were in with a frown.

'Who that would be? They left the house and did not come back at least for not so good 4-5 year's so there is no chance that they would be here.'

'What if it's a thief, what if he tries to hurt me or worse what if he tries to hurt Joonie no he can't do that, i won't let it happen.' Yoongi's eyes widened, brows furrowed in a scowl as he quickly turned towards the sleeping pup.

"Joonie wake up baby, wake up, we gotta get out of here." Yoongi tried to wake him up by whispering but it's clearly not working so he started shaking him.

"Joonie, wake up!" The cat sneered, finally bringing Namjoon back from his dreamland.

"What happened, hyung?" Namjoon asked dazedly, eyes still hazy from the sleep, looking at the older male with his big round puppy eyes.

"Joonie looks like someone broke into the house, we have to go." The older urged and the younger looked confused at first.

Before Namjoon's eyes widened as the words erupted from the older's mouth finally sinked in his mind, he stared at the panicked feline "Where will we go hyung?"

"I don't know Joonie, let's just leave now okay baby?" Namjoon nodded his head as he followed Yoongi towards the window.

Yoongi looked at Namjoon and nodded before jumping out of the window, the younger looked out of the window and saw the older looking back at him, silently encouraging and Namjoon took a deep breath before jumping out.

The younger one looked at Yoongi and the other looked back at him, feeling incredibly proud.

"You trust hyung, right?" Namjoon immediately nodded his head, without a single ounce of doubt visible in his eyes, making Yoongi sigh in relief.

"Hyung will protect you Joon-ah, hyung promise."
