"Forest is not here all day?"

Fin looked around, trying to see if Sky really didn't come. It was Tuesday. He got familiarized by Sky's schedule without knowing. Well, it was too easy to get familiarized since it was the Monday, Wednesday and Friday schedule.

And it was Tuesday, he was supposed to work today. He noticed this morning but didn't ask his aunt, he just thought he would eventually come anyway. But, it's almost closing time now, and he really didn't show up.

Imelda looks at his cousin with hidden emotion in her eyes, Fin was probably unaware of his actions but he's been roaming around his eyes, looking for someone. And she finally understands now, this is the first time that Fin asked about Sky. Usually, he doesn't care. He's even peaceful when Sky is not around.

"Ahmm... Today is his parents' death anniversary. He took a leave." She reluctantly answered. It was always a sensitive topic for Sky but it was Fin, her cousin who was asking and she could sense his worries since morning.

Fin turned stiff.

He didn't know what to say. He didn't know his parents were dead. He remembered one time, he said harsh words to Sky, those were the few days after he arrived. He said he should stop trying to get on his nerves, he should stop trying to show he understands him when he doesn't know what he's going through.

"Where is he?" He turned to his aunt. Worry was written on his face. And that didn't escape from Imelda's eyes.

"I'm not really certain, probably at this hour he is at home, he usually stayed at home after he visited his parents' tomb."

There was a hesitation in his face as Fin stared at his aunt and he could feel his body tensed. And before Fin could even speak, Imelda already spoke his thoughts.

"Alright, go. I also want to accompany him but I couldn't leave today. Besides, it was almost closing time. I can handle this restaurant."

Getting the permission, Fin smiled and genuinely smiled for the first time. His auntie Imelda really understood him. Aside from his mother, she is the only person he couldn't afford to lose.

He walks towards her and gives her a hug. Imelda was taken aback but after a while, she smiled and embraced him with equal tightness. "Now, I can finally tell, you've grown taller since the last time you visited. I'm glad." She joked while still hugging him.

After that he almost ran towards Sky's house. Imelda even gave him a soup to bring along.

He is already familiar with the direction to Sky's house because his auntie once brought him there to bring Sky leftover foods from the restaurant during his off to work because he taught across the island during the day. He couldn't imagine how exhausting and dangerous it was to cross the island to teach the children. But, he also admires him because of that. He is young with a promising future if given a chance to work in the city.

The distance was not that far. Now, he could see the small house, it was not that small but not big either.

He really likes Sky's house. It was made of stone but in a modern style. The windows are glass, and the roof is made of materials from a high quality product. The garden is well taken care of, there were flowers around the house. And a small waterfall at the center full of green grass around. A truly wonderful sight. He wondered what it would look like in the morning, he bet it looks so much better. He always came here at night. So, he doesn't know.

But, no matter how beautiful the house is, it looks so gloomy tonight when he arrives.

He was even reluctant to knock because Sky seemed to not be inside. But he remembered what his aunt said. "Sky always wants to be alone on a time like this."

He sighed deeply and prepared to knock when he suddenly heard a loud noise like there was something that fell.

His heart pounded really hard when he thought that it could possibly be Sky. Fin didn't wait any longer and tried to open the wooden door. To his luck, the door was not locked. He entered the house and called Sky in a loud voice.

"Forest! Forest!"

"Where are you? Are you okay?"

He searched from the small living room. Then to the kitchen but he was not there.

There was only one room and that was surely Sky's room. He didn't hesitate to knock but he didn't wait for his response and opened it.

Silence.

Silence.

Silence.

Silence.

Silence.

"Fvck!" Fin didn't usually cuss but he couldn't help cussing at this moment.
