"How long will you be staying here?" Auntie Imelda finally voiced out her thoughts.

A sighed. "I don't know... But I'll help you out while I'm here." His aunt only gives him a worried glance but doesn't say a word.

"You can use your cousin's room, you know he's not here and I'm all by myself, I'm glad you'd be staying even just for a while." She smiled this time. Ever since he arrived this morning his auntie has this confused and worried expression on her face but didn't dare ask him. Maybe she could clearly see that he's in no mood to talk things out yet.

He nodded and gave her a small smile.

"Thanks Auntie Imelda."

"You know you are always welcome here, Fin." He gives her a warm smile this time which he returns with also a warm smile.

Silence engulfed them both after that short exchange of words. The only sound that could be heard was the noise coming from the table while auntie Imelda wiped them with a clean dry towel.

After a moment of silence, Fin finally broke it and stood up. "I'll go mop the floor." He said without waiting for his auntie's reply.

Imelda could only shake her head while watching Fin going inside the stockroom to get the mop.

She's worried. Fin only came here when there's a lot going on with his head. When he needs a break from everything outside, this is his place of healing. She knows something big happened and Fin being Fin, she knows he was deeply hurt and he ran away from it again to collect his peace of mind.

The last time he came here was two years ago, when his mother, Imelda's sister died in a car accident.

Fin, who was very close with his mother, was deeply wounded. He just has gone from that traumatic memory of his mother and he is here again. Imelda wonders what it is this time. She couldn't just ask, she knew when the water was still hot. She could see how gloomy and pained his eyes looked when he arrived very early this morning at her small abode.

She lives alone now. Her only son was working abroad. Her husband has long passed away. Her only consolation was her small restaurant in front of the beach resort where she lives nearby.

Imelda gave a quick glance again at Fin who was now focused on mopping the floor. But she knows that his mind was somewhere else.

It was only five o'clock in the morning, they were still preparing the things inside, the restaurant was still closed. She usually opened at eight o'clock and closed at nine sharp.

The small bell hangs above the door when someone pushes the door open. The guy wearing a jacket, dripping wet hair, slightly tanned skin, smiled so brightly when he saw Imelda.

"Good morning boss!"

Imelda returned the greeting with the same amount of energy. "Good morning Sky." This guy really... He's always been energetic even so early in the morning.

Sky suddenly stopped on his track when he saw someone unfamiliar with him mopping the floor. Fin only gave him a glance before continuing on what he was doing.

"Oh, you have a new employee boss?" Sky's curious stare was at the guy. He is so white, no his skin was pale. His hair was dark like a night, quite obstructing the sight of his face. It looks smooth and shiny. And he could see how the guy combed his hair backwards because it is covering his eyes as he mops.

"You could say that. That's Fin. My nephew."

"Oh, nephew. I didn't know you had this kind of relative."

The clothes look expensive. He was wearing a white long sleeves that were rolled up to his elbow, a black pants and a white sneakers. And also a silver watch on his wrist that was shining from the light of the sun outside. He screams wealth.

Sky didn't see him yesterday so he presumed he only arrived today.

"Hey dude! I'm Sky, nice to meet you." Sky smiled wide as he waved his hand to Fin. Fin gives him a slight nod then continues mopping. "Right... he's quite... serious." He breathed but still had a smile on his face. He turned his head towards Imelda.

"Pay him no mind, he's nice. He's just... Well, he just has something going on with himself right now."

"I'll see, I'll get to work then." Sky started walking towards the small room inside the kitchen. He has to change into his working clothes before he starts helping the two. Sky didn't ask any further, he knows when to poke his nose in others business.

Imelda has already prepared the ingredients. She cooks while Sky serves and takes orders. They were just the two of them so it was really hard especially when it was a peak season.

Imelda had a hard time taking in new employees because they'll either be part time or quit the job early on. Why? They often said it was because they found some quite big companies or restaurants to work on so they had to give up on this job.

No matter what, Imelda knew that the reason why they didn't stay long in her restaurant was because it is small. Most people at a young age would surely prefer popular and big companies to have their experiences. To build a good background.

Fair enough. Because she also needs people who would want to stay and work wholeheartedly at her restaurant even if it's just a small one. She's glad she has Sky.

Sky was her late husband's best friend's son. He has been working here ever since he started teaching at the grade school on the other island. Yes! He works part time, Sky teaches three times a week across the island.

Imelda was left alone during those remaining days, but on weekdays, he is here full time.

Sky was like a son to her. She was thankful he was here, and now Fin is here too. Even just for a while.
