Chapter 4

Fin regretted his actions of not waiting for Sky to open the door before he barged in. But it was too late now.

Now, they were both in this awkward situation where Sky was dripping wet fresh from the shower, he's in the middle of wiping his head with only a towel on his lower body, he's holding a wooden vase, it was probably the thing he heard that fell.

"Ah- Sorry, I'm sorry... ," Fin only wished to be swallowed by the ground right at this moment.

He was so embarrassed, he immediately ran outside the room. He breathed deeply when he was finally outside, in the living room, trying to calm himself. His heart was still pounding hard. He could feel his face heat up and his body tense.

He could hear Sky calling him so he looked back.

"Wait, Clyde!"

Since the place was not that big, only enough for a few people, Sky immediately followed him to the living room. The place was still dark, only Sky's room was bright but he could still see each other because of the glass windows where the moonlight passes through it.

"Maybe you should put on clothes first." Fin gulped as his eyes traveled to the bare part of Sky's body.

He already knew his body was perfect inside those thick clothes he's wearing everyday and he confirmed it today. Even some of their customers were charmed by him. He couldn't blame them, this guy uses his charm to entertain their customers each day. Girls or boys, old or young. The sunshine of this place.

He was certain that his smile was his biggest asset.

But now, he could tell that not just his smile, those people would surely love him if they saw him like this.

Fin was pulled out from his reverie when he heard Sky clear his throat. He lifted his eyes to his face, only to catch the sight of his smirk. His eyes were even dancing in amusement while looking at Fin.

Fin wants to smack his head even more.

Double embarrassment.

"Is that for me?" Sky pointed out the plastic Fin didn't know he was still holding instead of following what he advised him to do first.

He lifted it up and quickly said. "Yes!"

"Alright, I'll put on clothes first then we'll eat that."

He didn't give Fin a chance to react when Sky walked towards his room again. But he switched on the light first before he entered.

And Fin turned his back, afraid Sky would notice his discomfort and tense body.

Fin didn't see it, but Sky smiled to himself when he closed the door, looking at Fin's back.

Sky already has an idea why Fin was here. But he was still wondering why.

Why? Is he concerned about him?

Or is he pitying him?

Whatever it is, at least this cold and indifferent guy finally showed him some concern.

Another development.

Fin was waiting outside. His eyes have been wandering around. There were a few things inside, it was vintage style. And all of the things he could see were made of wood. Somehow, the atmosphere and sight calms his heart. This is really an amazing place.

Now, he is wondering if Sky has another job before he finally settles teaching in this quiet secluded place. His taste was good, the materials of his house were clearly made of high quality and expensive products. The TV was even large. There was a rack of books for his material probably in school and some other famous novels. He's familiar with a few since Fin is also a fan of those famous authors and has collected them in his place.

His eyes moved to the door when it opened and Sky came out wearing his casual jacket and sweatpants.

"So, what brought you here?" Sky asked as he sat across from him.

"Here." Fin handed him first the warm soup.

"Still hot." Sky said when he finally got a hold of it and put it on the table at the center.

"Aunt Imelda cooked it just before I came here."

"I thought you cooked it for me." Sky teasingly said. Fin only gives him a deadpan look. "Alright, you can't cook."

"Of course I can." Fin felt triggered.

"Oh really? Then you should try cooking sometimes, I bet it would be as good as the boss's cooking. The skill runs in your blood."

"Tss, aunt's skill was still better, mine is only passable, I only cook for myself anyway."

"Still, you could cook, I hope I can taste it someday. I'll be your judge." Sky suggestively said.

Fin laugh.

He laughed for a brief moment, and he realized that that was the first time he laughed, genuinely since he came here. Well, he smiled, but it was out of his own will, it was always a practiced smile he uses everyday, plastered on his face, ready to greet the customers.

"You look handsome when you laugh."

He suddenly stopped laughing but there was a small smile on his lips. "I know."

"Great, you know. Then don't use it to charm others then." Sky said, in a serious voice this time. "They might fall for you too." He added.

Fin. "....."

Silence.

Silence.

Silence.

Silence.

Silence.

The last thing they knew, they were already in each other's arms, kissing hard.

No one knew who started it.

But they both know that it is what their hearts' want to do.
