Chapter 7

Sky was still gawking at Fin as he entered the van.

"I thought you'll be spending Christmas here." Imelda said while looking at Fin with a sullen expression.

"I'll try to come back next week auntie, but please don't hope too much, I still need to fix things that I left hanging at work, and there's a lot. Thank you for everything." He smiled.

Sky was still silent. That was very unusual of him, the usually loud and cheerful person was now only silently watching and listening to them talk.

"Hey! What's wrong?"

"Finley huh? A famous actor." His voice was laced with mocking tone.

That's the truth. Sky still couldn't believe that Clyde, the aloof guy he had a thing with was a famous actor of xxx.

"I didn't lie about myself, I just never told you about it because I don't want you to treat me differently while I'm here. And you never asked."

"Yeah, that's my fault."

"Stop freaking out, it's still me. Clyde."

"Finley, we need to go now." That was Jaxson in the passenger seat. His brow was deeply furrowed ever since he saw the two arrive a while ago.

"Alright, you should go now." Sky urged him. He even held the door of the van for him to close.

"Bye, I'll call you."

Sky nodded and closed the door.

The van started to run slowly but he was still looking back.

"What about your boyfriend, Lincoln?" Fin looked at his manager when he heard him speak. Jay was also waiting for his reply.

Fin knows he needs to explain to them everything about what happened, the reason why he left and what's happened now. He doesn't want to talk about it now but he could feel his manager was itching to know. He looks even angry. That was a first for him so he's worried and started explaining everything.

"WHAT!!!?" The talk shouted in unison.

"I only left for a month and the two of you have already adopted each other's attitude." Fin indifferently commented while looking outside.

"Of course not!" Jay strongly denied while shaking his head.

"Cut the crap, so you caught Lincoln, that asshole, cheating on you with Mina?" Fin nodded. Jaxson has been badmouthing his ex boyfriend before, telling him to just break up with that actor cause he's fake and has a lot of issues which is also affecting his career but Fin liked Lincoln and Jaxson respected that.

"I've told you."

Yeah. And Fin has been dying to hear it from his manager. The bitterness was still there every time he thought about that day when he caught Lincoln and Mina kissing inside Mina's van. He was looking for Lincoln that time and one of the staff said he went to talk with Mina about the script. It was the last day of their filming of Fin's upcoming movie which was also airing this Christmas. The two actors were also part of it.

"Are you okay?" Jay asked with worry in his voice and he slightly softened by his question. This kid really is such a cutie and innocent.

"Yeah, I'm good now."

"Of course you are, and Sky huh..." Fin rolled his eyes.

"Cut it Jax. He's different."

"Wait, what about that guy?" Fin's assistant asked.

"Don't ask, you're still young to understand."

"But I'm 24 already," he said in a sulky tone that made both of them laugh. Fin is already 27 while his manager is 35. And Sky is a year younger than him. His assistant is twenty four but sometimes he wondered if he faked his age.

The atmosphere finally turned light. They are already far away from the sea.

"Gesshh, I still couldn't believe that those two would be cheating, gosh! I tell you, rumors about the two have been spreading and I am the most annoyed by that. I've been trying to get in touch with you cause you know... But anyway, are you sure you're okay?" jaxson's voice was laced with worry for him.

"Yes, really. And I'll tell the press that we broke up already a month ago."

"WHAT?" The two reacted in unison again.

Fin didn't say anything so Jaxson looked at him again.

"Are you sure about this?"

"Yes, just thinking. How's everything when I left?" He changed the topic, he doesn't want his mind to be burdened by the past.

"The usual."

And Fin got it. The industry works like the usual even when he's not around.

Like usual. Interviews here and there, especially when he finally speaks about his break up with one of the hottest and popular actors in the industry. He was constantly asked about his disappearance, and his manager prepared him an excuse already.

Some people think he took a break because of what happened, some have already reached the conclusion that maybe it was because of a third party, and the actress is none other than the girl who has been linked to Lincoln for the past weeks. His statement only confirmed the rumors about the two being together. Fin knows it will affect the two, but he doesn't care. He wants to clear the air around him before anything else.

The media has been bombarding him with questions and have been trying to reach him but he doesn't want to be disturbed. He's been busy with other work. Their sympathy is enough.

He has meetings here and there, scheduled for endorsements and signing of new contracts. But those are only short-term contracts. He has other plans when he finishes all of these.

He was too exhausted to move while sitting lazily in his condo. "Is there any other work that I need to do?"

His assistant, Jay, checked the iPad he was holding and scrolled for his schedule the entire day. It was already eight in the evening. He just finished having dinner with the manager of MAB entertainment.

"There's nothing for now, I'll tell you when there is." He nodded to him then finally asked for his phone. Jay has been taking care of his phone since he arrived. He even texted and called Sky and his aunt a few times. He's missing them.

He was about to call Sky but his manager suddenly popped out of his condo in a hurry. He is heavily breathing.

"Open the tv."

"Why?" Fin and Jay asked in unison.

"Lincoln and Mina were caught in a bar, making out."

Fin only stares at the flat screen blankly while the video of Mina and Lincoln kissing on the dance floor. They seem to be drunk based on their movements.

He could feel the eyes of the two on him but he didn't give them a glance.

Jay tapped his shoulder so he turned to him. "I'm okay. It's just two weeks of dating and two months of being together. I'm fine." He smiled.

The two looked like they didn't believe him but didn't say a word.
