XAVIER  POV

  I know I shouldn’t have talked to her like that or called her a whore , I have no right after all I rejected her, my wolf just couldn’t hold the fact it’s Luna was kissed by someone other than us and when she told me they slept together , I know she’s lying , I think , I hope they actually didn’t do it ,thinking of it alone hurt so much as I walked towards my car , I couldn’t process my thought nor did I hear my name being called till I was tapped  on the shoulder “ hey , I don’t know why you got mad over what happened back then but none of it was true , plus my sex life shouldn’t be a bother to you , because we didn’t do it I only saved her from being attacked by a rouge and since she was on her wolf form ,I lent her my shirt to change’’ when he said they didn’t relief washed over me “ so why did you kiss her” I asked impatiently , although he might be my beta he’s still my best friend and I shouldn’t have tried to punch him without asking why “ uhm , about that ‘’ he strained he’s words looking everywhere but me “ there was butter cream on her lips , and I  kinda like her “ he said scratching the back of his neck , something he does often when nervous ,and my face immediately fell “ so I kissed her , what’s with that face you promised to help me ask a girl out till I find my mate , and I wish Audrey was my mate” he continued and I immediately turned around trying to calm myself from not hitting at his last sense , yes he is right sometimes he’s a chicken to ask a girl out so I help him but I’m not gonna help him get  Audrey ,  not my mate “I’m heading back to the pack , if you want you could stick around with Audrey like a dog , or you come with me” I said and opened the door to  my car as he immediately ran to the passenger seat “ I thought you liked her , why did you choose to follow me “ I asked as irritation laced my voice “ why are you being cruel all of a sudden , don’t tell me you like her too , I mean that’s the only explanation for your weird behavior around her” he questioned and I gave him a glare , which made him shut up all through the ride to our pack , one of the perks of being an Alpha……….

       Audrey’s POV

‘’ Oh pretty please , I know you must have come across it somewhere “ I asked my best friend for the up tenth time about Xavier “ I really don’t know much about Xavier , I do know now he has a very bad temper and the fact he became at age 16 because he’s father died of a rouge attack in order to protect their people , so he has been ruling with an iron fist and became a fear of a lot of people , most Alpha’s fear other s think he’s just child who doesn’t know what he’s doing” he said with a serious as he munched on the cupcake which I got for me, I couldn’t help but chuckle as he ate with seriousness, but then back to the real situation ‘so he has been an Alpha since age 16 ‘ I thought proudly of my mate achievement “ so you’ve never heard of a rumor 4 years “ I asked bringing the real matter at hand “ a rumor ? “ he repeated trying to think back to what might have happen “I don’t really remember much although I do remember a wolf lost he’s mate in a rouge , others say he was cursed to not have a mate by the moon goddess , other rumors also said he lost he’s mate to someone else , I think it has something to do with having a mate who already  has a mate” he said and I try so hard to place things together and decided to ask “ having a mate who  already has a mate , do you mean it’s a miracle for the moon goddess to give someone two mates, what was she thinking “ I asked confused as though the moon goddess could hear , my dad once told me never to doubt the goddess decision , but I mean what was she really thinking “ I think so too , it’s all a different story but it all leads to him loosing a mate some way or the other , the matter died down 2 years ago , why did you ask ?”  he questioned , he knew I wasn’t a fan of listening to history or stories  , I so find it boring “ nothing, just felt like , like you said it was a rumor , I may have heard it somewhere “ I answered with a faint smile , chewing on my nails not wanting to tell him the main reason “ I’ve been your best friend for literally 12 years , I can tell when you lie , you chew on your fingers which just so you know , is unhygienic , I might just let it slide , you’ll tell me when you’re ready , no pressure “ he stated the fact so clear I couldn’t even argue so I remain silent as I watched him eat the left over cupcakes , although my thought was way far from that as the only thing I could think of was Xavier’s past , why did he reject me ? , what was he so scared off ? , at the end of the day I went home with no one to answer my questions , 'it’s just up to me to solve this puzzle myself ' I thought to myself as I plopped down on my bed the minute I entered my room before falling into a deep sleep and all I could about was that handsome man who rejected me .....
