Iwaizumi was intrigued the second he saw him, and not in a good way. He was completely fake, from his sprayed down hair, cherry tone, and his almost too perfect smile. Regardless, there was a certain interest in the man.

Weeks passed and Iwaizumi continued to see the pretty barista. He enjoyed teasing the poor worker with the little notes they would leave on cups, napkins, and the little paper plates they used for deserts.

After a month and a half had passed, he made it a weekly visit, and the boy would always be working there; until one day after a particularly stressful workday he looked up not to see the pretty man, but a boy with darker hair and heavier eyebrows.

Iwaizumi tried to push it away from his mind and sat down with his usual black coffee, maybe he would be back tomorrow. That's what he decided to do, he would be there again tomorrow, then he'd see the pretty worker.

The next day he woke up late, he had forgotten to set his alarm and was forced to rush to work. He skipped breakfast and shower and barely made it in time, earning himself a jovial slap on the shoulder from his friend Hanimaki.

"One of these days you aren't going to make it on time buddy, then the whole world will end!" He teased. Iwaizumi rolled his eyes and sat down at his desk, starting to type away in his laptop.

Iwaizumi worked at an ad design company, his department was making bulletins and pamphlets. They could range from church bulletins to babysitting ads, and he found each new challenge and project quite fun.

He had been working on a specific one for a while, for a Halloween themed sale for a furniture store.

For the rest of the day he worked hard, and managed to finish it in the last few minutes of work.

He left work in a good mood and a sense of pride before he walked into the cafe ready to write to the boy, but saw him absent again.

That's right, he didn't even know the person's name. What right did he have to care.. however when he arrived home he found that he cared quite a bit. As he washed his dishes his mind wandered to where he was, was he sick? Did he have family problems? Was he fired..? He found himself washing the same plate for the fourth time before deciding that his problem was ridiculous and he should just take a rest and forget about it when he wakes up.

His days continued like this for over a week and he grew increasingly concerned and unfocused, he needed a place to recharge.

He found himself wound up at Hanimaki's apartment, sitting on his sofa and drinking a black instant coffee. Makki knew that Iwaizumi wasn't one to talk about his problems and would prefer to just have some company and coffee.

"You came at a funny time actually, you know that barista you've been giving eyes for weeks?" Hanimaki asked with a small teasing smile.

Iwaizumi didn't bother reacting to the quip. "What about him?"

"Well he had a sport related injury, and-" Iwaizumi cut him short

           "How did you know?"

"I'm getting there! So he's friends with one of my friends, and since he's been all cooped up and missing seeing new people he's coming over here to meet me."

"Oh.. when will he be here?" Iwaizumi asked.

"Within the next ten minutes" Hanimaki stated. Immediately Iwaizumi stood up and walked to get his coat, but Makki held him back.
