The girl sadly smiled at Mary's innocence. "Look, Her Wonder is..." she said, before being interrupted by a rush of fourth-years boarding the train. The girl decided to change the subject. "Anyway, when are we getting on?"

"I don't know- but I think it's only us and the third-years left now. How will we know what platform is for us?" Mary asked.

"I overheard people saying it's Platform 8," the girl responded.

"That's good- are you excited?" Mary asked her. The girl looked awkwardly around her. Jane's Guards were marching nearby, with their stabbing blades positioned to kill.

"Uh yeah... Why are they here?" the girl asked, looking at Jane's Guards. Mary wasn't really sure.

"Hi, Mary!" Deliah said, approaching, glad to have finally found her sister. "They're Jane's Guards. They stab anti-heelers or anti-Janes."

Mary gasped, shocked. She tipped her hat to the nearest Jane's Guard. Anti-heelers sounded terrible. Who could go against Her Wonder? Was it even possible to go against Her Wonder, when heeling was everywhere?

"Third-years boarding! Third-years boarding!" the train conductor shouted, and Mary forgot all about the anti-heelers.

"Bye Deliah!" Mary said, as Deliah boarded the train. Deliah was a third-year. She was used to tall high heels, but you're not allowed to wear high heels on trains (too tall to sit down) so she felt very short.

Mary held her luggage tightly. All the heelers had a luggage bag- large and brown, and rectangular too, like a briefcase.

"First-years! Boarding! Platform 8!" the conductor called, and Mary cheered excitedly. She was finally going to go to her dream school!

Mary and the girl, along with many others, walked to the platform. The train was very, very long- Mary couldn't even see the ends of it. Hundreds of thousands of children would be joining. Everyone was allowed in.

"To Jane! Her Wonder! The Leader of the Heeling World!" everyone on Mary's train carriage shouted, including Mary, as they all put their glasses of apple juice together in celebration. Apart from the strange girl. She stood up and walked out. Nobody knew where she was going.

A few minutes later, the conductor came in. Everyone on our carriage fell silent as they saw his worried face. "Everyone needs to get off now. I've heard there's a weapon on here. A bomb, I think. Everyone off and we should be safe," he said.

Everyone screamed. There was a large crush of people running out of the carriage door. But Mary didn't join them. Where was the girl she had talked to? Mary knew Jane would make her 'heeler of the week' if she saved someone's life.

Mary opened the door of the bathroom.

"You need to leave. Someone has a bomb. Wait, what are you-" Mary
