Although the train was searched, and the bomb was found and deactivated, it was deemed unsafe to return.

"Stand against the wall, the lot of you!" a Jane's Guard shouted to all the children who could hear her. It was windy outside, and her tall heels didn't help her to be heard.

All the children, including Mary and Claire, rushed to the wall, pressing their backs against it.

"Someone on the train has attempted to set off a bomb! Her Wonder will have to decide the measures we will take to find them, but I can assure you, they will not be nice!" the Jane's Guard said, marching up and down in front of the children. "Confess if you are the criminal, but I now ask that all the innocent heelers enter the cinema over there."

Mary followed the line into the cinema, puzzled. "What do you think's happening, Claire?" Mary asked. Claire did not respond, as she was, of course, terrified at the thought of someone finding out that she set the bomb off. Anyway- why would she have done that, Mary wondered.

                               (...)

"To Jane," Mary said, tipping her hat as she walked into the cinema. Hat tipping whilst saying 'to Jane' was a required expression of support. Mary sat down in the nearest seat. Claire sat next to her, and another girl sat on the other side.

"That's not how you tip your hat. I'm Izzy Rutter by the way," the other girl said. The girl spoke in an annoying, better-than-you kind of voice, and Mary rolled her eyes before reluctantly responding:

"Well? How do you do it then? If you think you're so smart..."

"I simply can't believe you don't know. The bow on the hat, which is the Jane supporter symbol, is supposed to be tipped towards the other person, not away," Izzy replied, rolling her eyes obnoxiously.

Mary was about to respond angrily, but Claire stopped her. "Mary, why are we in this cinema?" Mary opened her mouth to respond neutrally, but she was interrupted a second time- by a different person. Izzy Rutter.

"We're in this sine-mah because Jane is having a meeting with the Prime Minister and the whole heeling country is required to watch it."

"We have a Prime Minister?" Mary asked.

"We do, but it's more of a ceremonial role. Jane does all the governing. The Prime Minister is like the monarch in a constitutional monarchy. No powers really, controversial whether the position should even exist- all that sort of stuff,"

Mary looked away, uninterested. But what Mary was interested in was Jane meeting the Prime Minister again. Mary couldn't believe Claire had wanted to go against Jane, and she was hoping Claire's mind would be changed by Jane's fantastic debating skills.

The screen, the light illuminating it flickering, showed a live debate with Jane on the right side. Mary looked up.
