"Again!" Athena shouted to the knights. They didn't have numbers, but they had skills. She watched as the men and women ran the drills to near perfection.

"Ma'am" She heard a voice behind her and turned around.

"Brittania! It's so good to see you! What brings you here?" They hadn't spoken since the last mission Christina assigned to her.

"My commander said I am to accompany you."

"Why would she do that? She barely let me take you on the last mission I was on."

"She is hoping to start an alliance with Queen Lily. She figured sending me is a sign of good faith."

"Of course, I'll take you! We work well together. Go and join the knights. Chris, take over for me."

"Yes ma'am."

She wasn't used to being called ma'am. She wasn't the commander, he fell ill and could barely hold a sword. She is taking his place until he is better. She walked to the side of the castle and saw Kiara in the thick of some trees, levitating. Her legs were crossed, eyes closed, chanting something in a different language. "You're missing practice."

Kiara was startled but kept her form. "Sorry, sis." She took a deep breath and uncrossed her legs, slowly touching the ground. "I needed to clear my head." She looked to see Lily walking past them, two guards following her. They made eye contact, Kiara smiled and waved, and Lily just looked down and kept walking, like she was on a mission.

Athena noticed. "Still no luck?"

A month has passed since their last conversation over some wine. They have grown much closer since. "I try to talk to her, sometimes she holds a conversation with me. She is just so busy, especially with Charlie taking over another kingdom. I'm sure it is hurting her morale."

"I'm sorry Ki. It'll get better, if it makes you feel any better, she only talks to me if it's about the troops or a plan to take some land back."

"It doesn't, but thank you."

"What can I do to cheer you up?"

"I wish I knew."

Athena sighed. "Grab your two swords, let's spar." She did as she was told and stood at the ready. "No magic. I need to see what you have learned."

"Ok, mom." Athena glared at her, "I'm kidding."

The two girls started circling around. Athena taught Kiara that defense is the best offense. So the redhead waited, knowing full well that Athena was stronger than her. The brunette came at her lunging the sword forward. Kiara made an x shape with her two swords and brought it down to make Athena's hit the ground before backing up and spinning to try and get a hit on her sister. Athena blocked easily, if not, her head would've come clean off. "Sorry."

"Don't be." Athena smiled.

They went back and forth, each countering the other's attack. Kiara doesn't know how, but they were evenly matched. Then out of nowhere Athena dropped down and swept her leg to hers, causing Kiara to fall to the ground. Athena's sword at her neck. "Shit."

"Gotta watch out for that." She said, reaching her hand to help her sister up.

"No kidding."

Lily saw Kiara's defeat. She tried she thought before being brought back by Jordan's voice. "Lily. We need Hayland back, if we take that, it will start to corner Charlie."

"We do not have the numbers. I have said this time and time again. Even with the alliances, we have been creating, it is not enough. More and more people are joining Charlie. We hardly have enough people to defend this place if she decides to attack."
