Athena

"We can do this!" Alexandra heard Krea shouting from the outside. The floor was shaking due to the large creature that they were fending off. Jordan had already left to help Krea defeat the dragon. She was still in so much pain, but she made her way to the make shift bed by the wall on the other side of the room. She placed a small kiss on Kiara's forehead before doubling over in pain again. "Heavens!" She shouted. She was brought to the ground due to both the pain, as well as the beasts movements. She was startled when the door opened and she saw a girl, close to her age. "Get back!" She warned as she raised her knife in the woman's direction.
"I'm not here to hurt you, I'm here to help you."
"How'd you get in here?"
"I knew you were in trouble."
"How? Who are you?"
"It's a gift. My name is Lily Rivera, I saved Krea from her imprisonment, now I'm going to save you. Are you alright?"
"I think, I think I'm about to have another baby."
"Wait, what? Really? Are you sure?"
"I know what it feels like girl!" She shouted. "I'm sorry, just- Have you ever delivered a baby before?"
"No."
"Of course you haven't. Just try, please. I don't know how much time we have."
After what felt like a life time, Lily was holding a beautiful baby girl in her arms. It was covered in liquids that made her a bit nauseous, but she smiled non the less while handing her to Alexandra.
"She's beautiful." She mumbled, momentarily forgetting her situation.
"What will you name her?" Lily asked.
"Athena. Athena Delgado Bu."
"That's a good name. Strong."
"You and Kiara are going to rule this land one day. I promise. I love you so much Athena."
"Intruders!" A man in the distance shouted.
"Lily is it?"
"Yes."
"Take my babies to safety."
"Where?"
"Anywhere but here, it isn't safe."
"When shall I bring them back?"
"When you think it's safe."
"And if it isn't?"
"Than give them a good life. Promise me." She teared up.
"I promise." She said while grabbing Athena and making her way to Kiara, but before she could get to her, the wall was destroyed as debris flew across the room. The creatures tail had destroyed it. She was about to grab the baby, but a man burst through the door and she didn't have time. She left with only Athena.
Lily had waited for the flames to settle, she wanted to return Athena to her mother Krea, but she saw Alexandra being buried and didn't see Krea anywhere. That can only mean one thing. Don't worry Athena, you'll be okay, we will take care of you. She thought as she made her way back to her camp.
13 years later
"Where is Athena, you were supposed to keep an eye on her." Christina said as she paced the room. "I don't have time for this childness."
"I'm sorry mother, she is very hard to keep track of. One minute she is right in front of me, the next she is gone."
"I need you to do better with that one. It was your idea to keep her. You must have known she'd be trouble considering who her mothers were. Go find her." Before Lily could leave, a guard burst through the door, holding Athena by the collar. "Heavens. What did you do now?"
The tall brunette wipped the blood that escaped her nose. "This is nothing, you should see the other guy."
"This is no laughing matter, the man is in the medical bay under constant watch." The guard said.
"Man?" Lily asked surprised "Nice."
"Thanks." Athena smirked.
"I'll take care of it, go continue your duties."

"Ma'm." He bowed as he gave Athena a nasty look and walked out, shutting the door behind him.

"You leave too Lily, I must talk to Athena. Alone." 

"Yes mother." She said before giving Athena a small playful nudge and walking out. 

"You are thirteen Athena, you shouldn't be fighting."

"I think this is exactly what I should be doing. I need to be prepared for anything."

"Do not talk back to me."

"I'm not part of the family, don't talk to me like you're my mother."

"I could always treat you like a peasant and give the punishment that comes with fighting in my kingdom."
