chapter 13

Kiko drags Levi into the bathroom, she commands him to shower and freshen up as she cleans. Reluctantly Levi agrees and gets in a relaxing shower letting his body relax, looking at the clothes in the corner he sees blood.

Getting out of the shower he changes and starts the Landry as Kiko cleans the bottles and does the dishes, scrolling for a random movie for background noise Levi settles on space jam.

Helping Kiko clean he keeps glancing at his phone wishing it will ring, time goes painfully slow. Kiko groans and playfully punches his arm, "call him."

Levi shakes his head with a chuckle, "I can't... Sammy is probably on a mission." Kiko laughs.

"Sammy? Why did you call him Sammy." Levi chuckles and shrugs.

"Because he slightly hates it." Levi shrugs as he pushes his hair from his face, "and that's is what a family member called him.."

Kiko laughs and rolls her eyes, finishing cleaning up she picks up his phone. It starts to ring startling both of them, Kiko looks at the name with a huff.

"Hayley is calling. Tell her to stop seeing you, or I will" Levi groans and goes to take the phone but Kiko is faster. She hangs up and texts Hayley a quick, 'we should stop seeing each other' as Levi is forced to watch.

The message is opened but no reply, looking through his contacts kiko tries to find Sam's. Levi trys to grab the phone again, but she runs to the otherside of the room with a giggle.

"Nope, I'm going to talk to Sam. You might not like it but he can help, I just hope it he does come over your both not suffocation in uncomfortable tension" Levi chuckles but sits on the couch watching the random movie that auto played.

Hey Sam! you busy? It's Kiko, we kinda need to talk about Levi.

Levi? What's wrong with him, I'm on a mission but it will be over in a sec. I'm up for talking what's up?

He's became a alcoholic, annoying fuck. More annoying then normal.

Is he there? Like with you.

Yep. He did something bad, well I think it's better if he tells you but don't just say 'go to a therapist' when you see him.

Huh? What he had bad trama or something?

Yep, It turned him alcoholic. PS. Hayley? She sucks she's encouraging the behaviour.

I have hated her from the start, she probably using him. I can be there by, like 10? Keep the bedroom window open.

Hours past and Kiko cooks taking care of Levi and distracting him, after dinner a sound from the bedroom alerts Levi. The door opens and Sam walks through the door waving to Kiko, he looks down at the floor.

His small body is slightly cut and bruised, he's out of breath and he had a slight limp. Kiko huffs as she grabs a med-kit, pulling out a chair Sam sits as Levi studys him.

The tension in the room makes Levi squirm slightly on the couch, the couch now becoming uncomfortable. Sam pulls his bloody shirt off, showing his dark bruises.

A few stabs and cuts, Kiko looks behind her. Levi fiddled with the hem of his shirt as he looks at the tv, scoffing she rolls her eyes.

"Levi, go get a damp cloth and fresh clothes." Levi nods and stands up grabbing a cloth.

Running it under water he passes it to Kiko, she gently cleans up Sam's cuts and bandages them.

"How did you get these?" Sam shrugs making Kiko side eye him, he puff.

"On the mission... I was careless, plus I was texting you. he got the jump on me, it was different but after a few kicks and punches, and obviously after prying my knife from his hands. I k- well I finished the job."

Kiko nods and stands up after stitching a few cuts, Levi and Sam lock eyes for a minute while Kiko cleans up. The air incredibly thicker between them, looking away Levi walks over to Kiko to help clean up.

"Well Sam, I will always be here to help. I got a medical degree and worked in a hospital so, I can be your nurse." Sam mumbles a thanks before looking at his feet.

Levi glances at Sam who is on his phone, distracted. He's texting someone, probably the person who hired him... Does he work alone or for a company-

Kiko taps him as Levi looks away realising he was staring, the apartment is eerie. So quite you could hear a pin drop, the tension drowning Levi in shame and gilt.

Kiko groans as she looks between the two boys, they keep stealing looks at each other but not one dares to say a word.

"Alright this is painful. I'm drowning in this stuffy tension, Levi you have to tell Sam." He hums as he looks at Levi, his head noisey.

"Hey Levi?... This might be a personal question but-... Ummm, what happened to your father?"

Levi's heart stops as his breath gets stuck in this throat, the memory coming back. A familiar voice laughs from behind him, a cold twisted hand jolting him back.

"I'm back~" the thing says, the monster in the mirror right behind him. Levi quickly holds his hands over his ears, that voice making him sick.

"Go away!"
