Sam looks up at Levi, tears streaming down his face as his breath shakes. He places a hand against Levi's cheek, the warmth makes Levi smile.

"Are you okay Levi?... You drowned for god sakes!" Alex sits there in disbelief, the girls run to his side and hug him with Sam.

A soft blush covers Levi's cheeks when he realises Sam is also just in boxers, everyone hugs Levi but there voices blur together.

Eventually everyone gets off him, standing up Levi limps to the dock and pulls his clothes back on. Sitting down he lets reality sink in, I died... I drowned and Sam saved me, he cared and cried when he thought I was dead. Why?

Looking up he sees Sam changing, a soft smile spreads across his face. Letting out a sigh Levi looks at Kiko who is composing herself holding a first aid kit, sitting next to Levi she rolls up his pant leg.

"Second time I have to patch you up huh?... How'd you feel?"

He shrugs, "like shit but, I'll be alright... How'd you guys know I was- well I was missing"

She looks guilty, "we didn't... Sam realised you weren't here because according to Laura he wanted to talk to you, I think he saw some faint bubble and jumped in"

"Wait... Your saying everyone had no clue I was gone.. ouch that hurts my ego"

She softly giggles and wraps his leg up after sanitising it, they begin to pack up the picnic as Levi sits at the end of the dock. His legs dangle off the edge as he watches the water ripple, Levi sees the stairs and moon reflexes off the water.

Sam sits next to Levi and leans on him, looking at the smaller boy Levi smiles. Both boys don't want to brake the comftable silent as they watch the starts and water, Levi carefully wraps his arm around Sam who just snuggles into him.

"You alright Sammy?"

Sam looks up at Levi and softly smiles, "I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, but seeing you in the water... Not breathing, not alive it- it made me realise pushing you away was one of the worst I've done"

Levi nods, "well I'm here now aren't I?"

"Yeah... Can you promise me something?" Sam's face softens as he looks up, Levi hums in response.

"Please stop hurting yourself." Levi looks confused but sighs.

"Kiko told you?"

"I convinced Laura to spill..." Levi just nods as he keeps Sam close to his side, the cold wind makes both boys cling to each other for warmth.

The soft sound of the cars behind them takes over the relatively quiet night, standing up, Sam helps Levi to his car where the 2 girls talk.

"thank you got saving me, Sammy"

"It's my job, teddy bear"

Rolling his eyes Levi plants a soft kiss on Sam's cheek, the cold skin quickly turns warm as Sam blushes softly.

A loving chuckle leaves Levi's lip as he speaks, "would you like to get a lift home with me?"

Sam nods with a smile, "I'll like that, you could just drop me off at-"

"I have a better idea" Levi buts in, "come to mine"

Sam softly chuckles as he rubs his face, "sure, okay. Yeah I'm fine with that" they both climb into the back seat not saying another word, the drive home was peaceful.

The radio plays some comforting background noise, Levi's eyes drift to Sam. He's leaning against the window watching the word fly past, his hand lays lifeless next to him.

Levi hesitates thinking about what to do. letting out a quiet breath to calm his nerves, levi slides his hand onto Sam's. The warmth makes Sam look down before smiling, his eyes lock onto Levi's before he goes back to looking out the window.

Softly sliding his thumb over Sam's boney, cold hand, Levi thinks about how far he has come. Looking at the review mirror he locks eyes with a smiling Laura, Levi rolls his eyes as she softly elbows Kiko.

Kiko's eyes join Laura's in the mirror before they softly giggle and go back to humming the songs, the long drive eventually came to a halt.

Levi looks over at Sam, he watches the smaller boy's breath slowly rise and fall, the calm boy fast asleep still hand in hand.

Getting out of the car, Levi walks over to the passenger side. Opening the door and swiftly stabilising Sam head Levi smiles, reaching over the Sam's body he unclips the seat belt before picking him up bridal style.

Carefully closing the door, Levi walks into the apartment building. Sam snuggles in as Levi skillfully opens his apartment door, the empty apartment is covered by a soft, full Gray.

Levi carefully places Sam onto the couch and places a pillow behind his head, pulling his shoes off. Levi places a blanket over Sam before walking into the bathroom and changing, his comfortable bed calls for him.

Laying down Levi let's out a soft moan before sighing, looking out the window the thinks about the water. After the panic, worry, and pain dissapered he was left with a few minutes of bliss, looking up at the full moon above him.

The water distorting the shape as he floats, weightless. Levi remembers the way the water felt filling his lungs suffocating him, the way his eyes rolled onto the back of his head as he passed out.

Then his mind drifts, drifts the to feeling of a warm body clinging to him, sobbing and distressed, the way Sam looking at him. The feeling is Sam's cheek against his lips, the cold hand a sharp contrast from his warm one.

How peaceful sam looked in his arms, it was all so perfect.
