"Did we celebrate too soon?"
"Kookie, I want you to understand something. This is not going to be okay overnight. We got to give it some time and a lot of patience. I know you are disappointed but we can do nothing more but wait and accept that he is trying to change." You tried to explain to the boy who was sulking on the couch. The two of you had prepared a delicious lunch spread and Jungkook had gone off excitedly to call Tae for lunch. Tae had buried himself in work yet again and dismissed the boy saying he would have lunch a little later.
"I know, I just thought- it's okay, I guess." Jungkook said looking down at his feet.
"Hey, we got you both making coffee today, isn't that a win? Slowly we are gonna have it all good. But we need patience. Now my dearest nephew, the light of my life and the source of all my happiness, will you please set up the software on my laptop?" You asked the boy.
"And what do I get in return, my dearest Gomo?" Jungkook asked with a sly grin. You knew what he wanted and would ask but you pretended to play dumb. He has been pestering you for a while now and you knew he was going to ask for it even if it didn't benefit him in any sense. What was this boy up to? Was your mother behind this? Did she bribe him with cookies or something?
"Oh, how about I get you some barbeque?"
"Nope~"
"How about 31 special Ice cream?"
"Nope~"
"Chicken bucket?"
"Nope~"
"Maria's phone number?"
"You have Maria's phone number?" Jungkook asked surprised.
"No, but I do have Jimin's number who is her tuition teacher." You said with a smirk. You had won this round...or so you thought.
"Nope, I got her on my Snapchat, need no number. So nope~" Jungkook sang out.
"What is Snapchat? Do I have it?"
"No Gomo, you are not getting on Snapchat too! It's gonna be too much for your little brain."
"You little rascal, I'm the one who taught you to walk when you were miserably crawling all over the place. I'm the one who taught you basic math when you thought 2 + 2 was 5-"
"Alright alright! I get it Gomo. You are amazing. I get it. Please don't start with this, please no no no."
"Then be a good kid and help me out."
"I will if you go on another date with the police guy Jin."
"Why are you so hellbent on getting me to date him? You are not even benefitting from it?"
"Who said I'm not benefiting? He is such a cool person. I can't wait to play Overwatch with him. He did promise me he would come over to play someday if you let him."
"You know what, I'm gonna get the software on my laptop on my own. I am not gonna fall prey to your ways, you evil child!" You said walking off to your room. You pretended to not listen to the giggles and 'will see' comment by the boy. What could be so difficult? Just follow the manual right?

"Okay, so I click this one, and then I do this." You mumbled to yourself as you skimmed through the wikiHow page Jimin had sent you and were trying your best to set up the software. The school sent over the login credentials and you successfully managed to download the correct software from the right link. That was a win. Right?
"I did it!" You said to yourself in delight and slight disbelief. And to think that you almost agreed to go on a date for this easy peasy thing. You were a genius. You clicked on the icon after the message popped up that the installation was over.
A pop-up. Some file is missing. Wait. Missing? How did you lose something when you didn't even touch a single thing? Another pop-up. Can't run the application without program file.
"Okay, okay, deep breaths. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale." You tried to calm yourself. You picked up your phone and tried to call your best friend but he didn't answer which made you panic. And that's when you saw the series of numbers at the end of the wikiHow article. Customer service. Yep, that's it. Dialing the number carefully, you were directed through a series of automated questions and numbers and now you were waiting for the call to connect.
"Hello, I'm Hoseok, from Peers Customer Service. How can I help you today?"
"Oh, I need help with the software installation. I thought I did it right but it is saying that some file is missing and there's another pop-up saying that it won't run the software. Please help me."
"Okay, I need a little more details than that. But ma'am you have nothing to worry about, you have reached the right person to help you out. Can you tell me how proficient you are with computers?"
"Basic, like very very basic."
"Okay, can you tell me the numbers displayed in the pop-up box?"
After about 30 minutes and a few steps that you had done under Hoseok's guidance, you were all set with the software. The man was such a sweetheart and he politely and patiently answered all your questions. He even told you that you could call him anytime you had trouble with the software. You were so excited that you went dashing to the living room scaring the boy who was trying to click a selfie... with a pout?
"Gomo! You scared me!" The startled boy said.
"Were you pouting? Ah nevermind. I got it done Kook. Your Gomo has successfully installed the software."
"I don't believe this."
"Come on, I will show. I'm not bragging, but your Gomo is quite the genius you see." You said leading the boy to your room where you had set up your laptop.
"You really did it." Jungkook mumbled to himself in disbelief wiping away fake tears. "My Gomo is all grown up, you would soon not need me. Ah, I'm proud of you young one." Jungkook continued to fake cry and pat your head. You nudged the boy who engulfed you in a hug.
"This calls for a celebration. So how about we invite Jin Hyung over for dinner?" Jungkook asked with puppy eyes.
"Hyung? He is at least 20 years older than you kid."
"But he likes to be called Hyung. And if it bothers you, I could call him Gomobu but then you will have to marry him." Jungkook said while dashing away from your room avoiding the things that you were throwing at him.
"Okay! What did Grandma give you? Fess up, young man! How much is she paying you, you brat? I'm gonna kill you both!"
