When you woke up in the morning, you had only one prayer. It was for your laptop and software to work properly. Today is your first day of class officially with the students and presentation. Yes, the whole big event. Though the class is scheduled for only 40 minutes, your heartbeat and stress levels have been through the roof. You were extra nervous since for the first time in your teaching career parents are gonna be a part of your class. Singing rhymes and talking in baby voice made sense for 6 year-olds. The kids absolutely loved you. Oh the smiles when you narrate them stories in voices that only you could conjure. But the parents were different. What if they thought that you were too weird to be teaching their kids?

"Gomo, you alright?" Jungkook asked poking you with the rear end of his chopsticks.

"Hmm...Oh yeah. I'm good. What about you?" You asked the boy who seemed to be a little too energetic for your liking.

"Oh, I'm just ha~pp~yyy~." He sang out.

"And why would you be that happy?" You asked confused and questioning if the boy had something up his sleeve causing his cheery attitude.

"Appa agreed for the memorial service. I can finally talk to her with Appa. And he said that he has a surprise for me." He said delightedly and you swore that you saw his eyes twinkle.

"Wow Kook. That's amazing."

"Yeah, I'm pretty excited. This is the first time I will be spending my birthday with him. I'm usually back at Grandma's place. I'm really happy Gomo that I feel like my heart is about to burst." Jungkook said with the biggest smile you had seen.

"I am happy too Kook. I really am."

"Oh and since they have made it okay to have a gathering of five people, we are having a small party too."

"Oh, when did all this happen? Did I sleep for like a week or something?" You said to which the boy chuckled.

"Gomooo, Appa seemed to be in a great mood today. He talked to me in the morning about all this. And I have even thought of who all to invite. You-" The boy was interrupted by a 'ding' notification sound.

"Shoot! It's time for class." The boy rushed towards his room before screaming, "Jin Hyung is gonna be there!"

"Why can't you be friends with people your age Kook!" You hollered back only to get his roaring laughter in return followed by a small 'she's gonna be there too!' leaving you amused.

You sat in front of your system and had the Peers Customer service on speed dial. After giving a small pep talk you were ready to blast through your class. You did not realise how fast time had passed and you were already at the end of your class waving bye to the little ones. For the first time you felt like you missed all the noise and chatter of a classroom. The software worked so smoothly that you were beyond amused. You could handle this. This seemed like a piece of cake.

You were walking out of your room when you heard a different voice from the living hall. Peeping from behind the wall, you found the owner of the voice but you weren't prepared to meet this person at all.

"Hah! I win!" Kook hollered out while the young man looked at him with a sweet smile.

"Oh, you are here." The man said shyly.

"Hi Jin." You waved to the smiling man.

"How did your class go? Hope we were not too noisy."

"No no...I didn't know there was another person until now." You said as you walked towards the couch and sat on the side sofa.

"Jin Hyung lost to me like a trillion times! You should have seen us play Gomo." The boy said excited as he was setting up the next game.

"Yeah, right. Did he even give you anything to drink?" You asked and panic rose on Jungkook's face.

"Oh I'm so sorry Hyung. I-What shout I get you? Water? Juice? Cold drinks? What do grown ups drink? Ah! Beer? Wine?"

"Just water is fine Jungkookah." Jin replied with a smile looking at the boy who had turned into a bartender within a minute.

"I can't believe you lost to a teenager." You said with a chuckle as the boy went to fetch the drink.

"Oh believe me, I lost to him on purpose."

"Yeah right, and I'm a pro at this game." You said laughing out. "Kook breathes this game. He loves it more than anything and is a pro at it."

"And what about you?"

"Oh Gomo is just terrible! She's terrified of anything that's not from the the 18th Century!" The boy laughed out loud.

"Hey! I'm not that bad." You tried to defend yourself.

"Then play against me." Jin said earning a shocked look from you. "Come on, one game. Just so that I can know if you are worse than me." Jin said with a chuckle.

"Gomo, show him that we are not a family of cowards." Jungkook said adding fuel to the fire.

"Remind me the keys again. Let's kick his ass."

You and Jin were on your fifth game now and both of you were having a great time poking fun at each other while Jungkook brought out the competitive spirit within you.  Jungkook disappeared into the kitchen to grab a few snacks. When he was on his way back he was peering at his two favourite people having fun playing a game neither of them understood.

"What are we looking at?" A voice startled the boy.

"Ah, Oh Appa. Don't they look good together?" Jungkook asked pointing to you and Jin.

"First tell me who that below average looking man is?"

"Oh that's the cop, Jin Hyung and I think he's really handsome."

"He's a meh. What is he doing with my sister here?"

"Come on Appa. You can't get all possessive now. Remember, he's a cop. We could do a lot with a cop on our side."

"Yayyy! I won. I won. I won." You screamed out dancing in circles while Jin watched you with a fond smile.

"You are right. And you are definitely onto something." Taehyung said as he observed the duo before him. Maybe Jin was exactly what you needed.
