Miss Olympia was a different and interesting person, in Gary's humble opinion. What he did not like was the sudden prophecy she made about him and Ash. He was really hoping they would not be getting involved into anything crazier than Diancie but things happen. Ash hummed as he wiped the latest badge and ribbon while Serena practiced with her newly hatched Pichu. Pichu really liked battling and wanted to become the protector of the group. Serena was touched and agreed to help Pichu become the strongest fighter. 

Ash then told Serena about the many evolutions of Pichu, which were Pikachu followed by the Kanto Raichu and Alolan Raichu. The little guy seemed to like the idea of flying and wanted to go to Alola after evolving into a Pikachu. Serena had to agree the Alolan Raichu could perform in show cases and battle, if they were smart about it. At the moment Pichu wanted to focus on becoming strong enough to evolve first. While Serena's newest catch Eevee really liked dancing and was interested in show cases.

A few days later Bonnie and Gary made an interesting little discovery. They found a green coloured Pokemon that reminded Gary of Poliwag for some reason only smaller and more tadpole like. They decided to meet up with Professor Sycamore to see if he knew the Pokemon and what it was. The Professor however was very confused as he never saw Squishy and Evergreen, as Bonnie called them, before as a trainer or Professor. He did however promise to keep in the look out for an identification. If there was none within a month of discovery, they would all be credited for finding a new Pokemon.

Bonnie, "This is really exciting."

Clemont, "It sort of is."

Serena, "A new species! Oh my Xerneas! A new species!"

Ash, "We should celebrate."

Gary, "Yeah, even if someone did discover you a long time ago. This is still a rediscovery."

Alakazam however was eyeing the green creature, -You are not exactly normal.-

Lucario agreed, -Are you seriously going to act like a helpless creature?-

Gary's Umbreon, -We can feel your power you know?-

Ash's Sylveon, -Yeah, even though it's faint.-

Evergreen looked at Squishy then shrugged, -They are nice.-

Squishy, -Bonnie is sweet.-

Umbreon and Sylveon had heard Serena had caught an Eevee and wanted to meet her. They were curious what she would evolve into but did not push the little one. Serena was awed by the two Eeveelution Pokemon and had looked them both up. Serena and Eevee enjoyed getting to know them and a week later Misty dropped in. The Cerulean Gym leader was there to see if she could get water type Pokemon native to the Kalos region. Her Vaporean saw Serena's Eevee and the two got along really well.

Misty told the three wide eyed blonds about all the shenanigans Ash had gotten into back in Kanto. Ash simply shrugged and did not even try to deny any of the stories about the first badge, then meeting with an actual ghost, to dealing with poachers and Team Rocket. Even though she had gotten over her crush, Serena still looked at Ash with admiration. And she giggled when noticed she was not alone, Clemont and Bonnie were the same.

A few days later they were enjoying a relaxing day just having fun when a Pokemon bumped into Ash. Gary was shocked as that Pokemon was a Hoopa, a Kalos Legendary and a mystery to many. Hoopa said he had felt Ash's aura and that it was similar to his late friend's aura. Ash was curious and Hoopa told him about how he had been friends with a girl in the past. As they were talking something went really wrong and a dark Hoopa appeared.
