Enjoy!)Ash hummed as he prepared dinner for himself and Gary, "Okay food is ready, candles check, flowers check, table check, cutlery check, ring... Ack! Where is the ring?"
Pikachu chirped beside him, -Here!-
Ash smiled, "Oh yeah, it's with you guys. Thank you for helping me with this fellas."
Charizard rumbled, -Anything for you, Ash.-
Blastoise nodded, -Yes.-
Sylveon purred, -I am very excited about tonight.-
Venasaur, -You and Gary have come so far.-
Ash, "I really want this to go well."
Gary was closing up at the lab, after his Grandfather had retired, Gary had taken over Pallet Town's lab as it's one and only Professor. Gary smiled as he nodded at the assistants who were getting ready for their night shift in the lab. His grandfather had now joined his cousin Samson in the Alola region to live out the rest of his retirement. Gary could admit it was a good idea and perhaps he and Ash could also go there after they retire from their respective jobs. For now, however, he had to return home, he had a date night with his boyfriend.
Gary walked the ten minute distance and opened the door, "I am home."
Ash perked up from the kitchen dressed in a dark red shirt and pants, "Welcome back. Go wash up, I picked the clothes out for you. We are going to have a full date night."
Gary kissed his cheek, "Oh ho ~ I am looking forward to it. Oh, the dinner smells fantastic too."
Ash watched him go, 'I should thank Misty for this idea later.'
Ash lit the candles and heard the water splash from the bathroom Gary had no doubt seeing the bathtub was ready for him. Ash had planned their anniversary date night for weeks now and prepared Gary's favourite hot bath and suit piece. When the green eyed man joined him he was wearing the dark green suit which matched his green eyes. Ash smiled at him as they kissed passionately before separating from each other for air.
Ash poked his nose, "Let's have dinner first."
Gary smiled mischievously at him, "Of course, you spent so long preparing dinner. It would be blasphemous to let it get cold."
Gary let Ash stand and pulled a chair out for him, "You first darling. You have been preparing everything, so let me do this much."
Ash sat down smiling softly at him, "I suppose so."
Gary sat in his own chair and the Pokemon who had been waiting for them to sit down started to bring in the food. Gary's eyes lit up on seeing both their Pokemon dressed up as adorable waiters and maids. The youngest Pichu, Eevee and Abra looked the cutest among them while the older Pokemon looked fine and seemed to be enjoying it. Ash then explained the Pokemon wanted to help with the food so the two of them could enjoy the night. Gary was touched and thanked the Pokemon who cooed at them and left after setting their dinner in front of them.
Ash, "We prepared the food together too. Your Scyther is a true lady of chopping."
Gary chuckled, "I can imagine, what else did you do today."
Ash smiled and told Gary everything that happened the past week, from Misty and Rudy finally deciding on a wedding date to Anabel and May getting engaged. The two girls however decided to wait before getting married, they wanted to save money for a house. Gary understood the sentiment, both he and Ash wanted their own homes as well, at the moment they were living in his grandfather's old home. It was not the same as having their own place to live in, a place under their own names.
