"Mummy can we just go back to the school?"
"Why do you wanna go so soon? This town is quite nice. Cold but nice."
Erix and Atlas stood outside the dress shop Atlas having just bought a coat.
"It's late fall. Unlike the Rings it gets colder during fall and winter."
"That's a shame." she sighed. "We should check out the other stores, don't you like shopping?"
"I don't have my wallet."
"I'll pay." She reached into her dress pocket and pulled out a leather coin bag. "Your father decided to lend us his card for the weekend considering he couldn't be here."
"Really? He isn't worried that we'll spend it all?"
"He's the king of greed, it's not like he can't get all of it back immediately."
"True. So where to..." he trailed off when he saw the Addams getting out of the limo and heading towards the therapy office. "I'll be right back."
They weren't sure when he got there but as Wednesday went to take a seat Kinbott noticed Erix leaning against the railing. She gasped and pointed to the stairs.
"Out!" She screeched.
"Relax, I'm not here for you," he scoffed before looking at Wednesday. "Just popped in to say hi. And goodluck."
He grinned at Kinbott who looked faint before he straightened up and sauntered down the stairs.
"If I may ask, what was that about?" Wednesday stared at the woman.
"He is not allowed in here. I knew I should've kept the salt line at the door." Kinbott sounded hysterical. "They called me irrational for continuously buying salt because I thought he was a demon but I didn't think it, I know it. But no Kinbott, you're just wasting money."
Morticia gave Gomez an amused look knowing that Erix, in fact, was a demon.
"What makes you think that?"
"The horrors he would talk about. He–" Kinbott cut herself off and shuddered. "But, who wants to start?"
Back with Erix he had a satisfied grin on his face as he rejoined his mother.
"What was that about?"
"Do you remember that therapist I told you about?"
"Yes. Quite a rude woman it seemed."
"I felt like scaring her again."
"Ah, very good. Now, let's go shopping."
❤︎ ❤︎ ❤︎
"Mmm. I am famished."
"Me too." Atlas nodded as she piled food high on her three plates.
"You're not hungry, darling?"
"My appetite eludes me, Mother. The same way the truth eludes you."
"We need to tell her."
"She'll never believe us."
"We must stay strong. And hope that something more morbid comes along to distract her."
"Oh no." Erix said as he saw the sheriff and immediately ducked under the table. "Not this weekend."
"Gomez Addams."
"Oh thank Sathanas." he muttered but backtracked when he saw Wednesday's look. "I mean- you know what I mean."
Gomez got up and turned to face him. "How can I help you, Sheriff?"
"You're under arrest for the murder of Garrett Gates." Galpin said as he handcuffed him and started leading him out of the quad. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."
"Dad?"
"You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be appointed for you."
The Addams' and Fallon's watched as he was taken away. Erix got back up and walked over to Morticia putting his arm around her.
"Merci diable."
"De rien."
