Chapter 2

When Mark arrives in the kitchen Laura isn't there. He doesn't think much of it and prepares dinner. Laura walks into the kitchen puts her arms around Mark and whispers in his ear.
"It's positive we're having a baby".
Mark drops the box of noodles and turns around to hug his wife. Eric hears them and wanders into the kitchen.
"Eric" Mark said he smiled and put his arm around Laura. " You're going to be a big brother."
"Is dinner almost ready?" Eric asked.
"Well, yes but aren't you excited?" Laura said a bit disappointed.
Eric shrugged

Over the months Laura's stomach expanded. They had gotten rid of all of Eric's baby things so they threw a baby shower.
"Do you want a boy or a girl?" Laura's mother asked.
"We don't care as long as it's healthy" Laura replied smiling at her baby bump.
Eric found a little pink bear and a few dolls and played with them.
"Bud, those are for the baby" Mark says and snatches the toys.
"I want a doll" Eric whined.
"Dolls are for girls, Eric" said Laura who had walked by mid conversation.
"Grab a doll buddy" Mark whispered to Eric.
"Really?"
"Shhh" Mark said holding a finger to his lips.
Eric jumped up and hugged his father.
"That's my boy" Mark sighed.
