ON THE OTHER side it was a room covered in wrap that would make it easy to clean. In the center of it, there was a small square TV in front of a single chair. They entered the room and Ethan shut the door behind him, walking further into the room.

"You can take it." (F/N) waved Ethan towards the chair, figuring he must be tired.

"I'm fine." Ethan excused. His body was crying for rest, but he could put his well-being aside for her.

"You're the one that fought Marguerite." (F/N) pointed out, "We both know your body hurts from that."

Ethan's lips tightened, not wanting to give in, "Please, (F/N) ...Just sit."

Her lips tightened before she took the seat in front of the television, "Let it be known you forced me."

"Of course I did." Ethan nodded, giving her a teasing smile as he leaned over her to turn on the television. Then he stood behind her, his hands on the back of the chair.

The screen had lots of static before an image fuzzed into the device. It was Lucas adjusting the camera, his face uncomfortably close as he sang, "Ethan. E-than." He smiled as he backed away from the camera, "Ethan. (F/N). Hold on, hold on, hold on. I got something for you two."

Lucas raised his hands, and his face turned into an excited smirk as he held up something like it was the newest toy and he was showing it off, "Looky, looky what I got. You know what this is for? You know what Zoe wants to do with this?" The object in his hand was difficult to decipher, but it looked like a part of the serum, "She thinks this thing is special." Lucas cackled.

The crazed man raised a finger, "No, that ain't special. This—this right here is special." His hands came into view, and he had clippers in his other hand, bringing it to his fingers.

"Don't look!" Ethan quickly warned, turning (F/N)'s head. But she still heard what had happened.

"You see, not everybody wants to turn back the clock."

(F/N) swallowed thickly as she stared at the ground, "Don't tell me he's ripping his fingernails off."

"He is not ripping—" Ethan's words fumbled as she felt him wince. Not even his sarcasm survived the sight in front of them, "He totally is."

"What? What, Eveline?" Lucas suddenly called out. Ethan moved his hands and (F/N) looked back at the screen, finding Lucas shouting at something off-screen, "I'm just trying to show them. I'm just trying to show him that not everybody wants to go back to how things were."

It seemed like he was defending himself against nothing, as no one responded and no one had called out in the first place. Still, Lucas continued to rant, "Zoe's a stupid bitch! She doesn't understand that I don't wanna go back to how things were before my father found y'all." Slowly, Lucas turned back to the camera, "Not everybody wants to turn back the clock."
