chapter twelve

slowly facing him up, there he saw jeno. he was panting and looked like he ran after jaemin. the younger one can't look at him clearly, his vision is getting more blurred as his tears keep coming out.

"don't come near me." jaemin said when jeno was about to come closer.

"min, let me explain first." jeno said seriously.

"stop... calling me min." jaemin said and gulped, trying to make his voice stable. "i hate you now."

"five years ago when my parents died."

he wiped his tears off and looked at him, jeno is just a few steps away from him that's why he could still hear him. besides, no one is around, that's why they can hear each other.

"they were held hostage by those people like you," he continued. "they brought them into your universe and they died. north kingdom, isn't that your home? the king that leads that kingdom, isn't he your father? and that father of yours... he was the one who did all of this."

"he killed my parents," he said seriously. tears are already forming in his eyes. "i want to give my parents the justice they deserve, i will make sure that your father will pay for it. don't worry, by the way. your father is only my intention. i won't hurt you... i can't..."

jaemin didn’t hear the last word he said but he was still confused, his father never killed someone. he will never be. if his parents died five years ago, his father may not have told him. his father may have been hiding something after that incident.

"all this time... you knew i was from the neo universe?" and he cleared his throat as his voice cracked.

"i'm also from that place," jeno said calmly. "i was the one who broke the portal."

looking at him, jaemin can't help not to cry more because of what he just found out. if they continue talking now, it feels like jaemin can't handle it. it feels like he will pass out in any second.

he didn’t know that the guy he loved the most... the guy that made him doesn't want to go back home...

is just fooling him.

"i let you stay in my house because i saw you coming out from that portal," he continued. "isn't that the portal from the north kingdom? did you even know that i just lived here because of that portal? i lived here because this is the place that is near to that fucking portal."

"stop..."

"you can't believe what i'm saying, do you?" he smirked. "your father is a killer, i won't also be surprised if you will become like him. those person who act like an innocent but actually—"

"i said stop!"

the silver thing in his hand and eyes slowly disappeared as he heard jeno's groans. he was panting as he looked at jeno that was now laying at the ground, groaning in pain while holding his stomach.

"j-jeno..." he whispered.

he was now getting nervous, he immediately went towards him and luckily it didn’t affect jeno so much. but he still needed to heal it so he did.

"i'm sorry... i'm sorry..." he whispered.

as soon as he finished healing it, jeno tried to feel if it's still hurt. jaemin is just watching him to see if he is still feeling pain or not. but he stopped when jeno moved his hand away.
