chapter seventeen

nothing makes jaemin happier now, seeing his friends being happy to be with him is already enough. haechan even cried because he didn’t expect jaemin to be really here now. he thought he was busy since he was a doctor.

now, haechan can't almost let jaemin go. as well as renjun and chenle. the four of them even dance together, probably missing this thing which they always did back then.

when they don't have a partner yet, when it was just them.

"doctor na!"

jaemin couldn't help not to smile, haechan's brother, taeyong, is now hugging him. he assumed that the older one was already drunk since his face is already red.

"nice to see you again, hyung." jaemin said, smiling.

"i miss you so much..." he pouted. "but i miss my husband more, can you please bring me to him?" he whispered.

"haechan's party isn't done yet, hyung." jaemin said.

"nah, it's okay!" haechan shouted. "bring him to his husband now or else, he will cry like a baby!"

"i'm not a baby! you are!" taeyong shouted back.

jaemin let out a laugh and assisted the older one instead. taeyong wasn't even that drunk but his face was really red. he let the older one lead the way since he didn’t even know where the other party was.

until they arrived at the room which is just few doors away from haechan's, jaemin just watched taeyong knocked at the door which took long to opened.

"taeyong? what the fuck?" doyoung was the one who opened the door.

"my husband..." taeyong said.

"wait—"

but he stopped when his eyes shifted to jaemin, he looked surprised to see him here but the younger one just smiled at him and bowed a little.

"jaem, look at him for a while. i will just call... jaehyun." and he smiled.

jaemin just nodded and helped taeyong stand up, it didn’t even take long when jaehyun arrived.

"love, i told you not to drink too much." jaehyun said worriedly.

"i'm sorry..." he pouted.

"it's okay," jaehyun said softly. "wanna go home now?" he asked.

"yes, baby." he nodded. "by the way, nana is here." he giggled as he pointed at jaemin.

"nice to meet you again, hyung." jaemin said and took a bow.

"j-jaem, hi!" jaehyun said, he actually didn’t feel his presence since he was worried about his husband because doyoung told him that taeyong passed out outside.

"i guess i can go now?" he chuckled.

"yes, yes. thank you." jaehyun said and smiled.

"thank you, doctor na!" taeyong said and giggled.

jaemin just chuckled and took a bow. he made his way back to haechan's unit but while walking, he couldn't help not to think too much. almost five years have passed and every important person in jaemin's life is already married to their loved ones.
