Undeniable

heart and mind

Wednesdays POV:
Today is the day i see Nevermore once again. Enid has been blowing up my phone since i had gotten her number asking me about my return. Of course i had not said anything and would usually leave those kind of messages on read. Enid isn't the only one though. Xavier has been asking me as well. During the break, i'd been looking forward to his messages. It's disgusting behaviour from me i know. It's nice to know that's he's been drawing more. Not only that but he's been learning how to communicate with his father in healthy ways. He'd tell me all about his day and i would participate in telling him about my day.
"Lerch is going to put your stuff in the car now Wednesday" My mother has been ecstatic about my return.
"Thing let's go" Thing hops in my purse as i grab my phone and head downstairs and out the door to where my mother and father are waiting for me. Let's get going already.

After an excruciating long drive in which i had to witness mother and father smothering each other like there was not tomorrow i'd finally arrived to Nevermore.I will never understand how two human beings could touch each other so much. As i get out of the car i take in Nevermore. It looks the same as ever. Mother and father and Pugsley greet me goodbye as i mentally prepare myself to walk through the gates.
As i'm about to walk in i get pulled into a hug.
I turn around to see Pugsley.
"Stay safe and out of trouble please."
I hug him back. Of course i'm going to miss him.
I watch as the car leaves.
"New semester new case Thing."
*tap* *tap*= "how exciting"
"I can feel the sarcasm radiating from your taps."
I receive a message from my phone as i'm walking towards the dorms. It's from the stalker.
It's pictures of my standing by my family as they greet me goodbye, one when i'm hugging Puglsey and one where i'm alone, waiting for the car to leave before i step into Nevermore.

STALKER
- Welcome back Miss Addams. I hope this semester brings you many good fortunes.
Have fun trying to figure out who i am.

I put my phone back into my purse, disregarding the new message from the stalker.
*tap* *tap*= "stalker?"
"Yes, it was them. They're here."
I knew my instincts were right. Nevermore was their hotspot of me. Sure they got a couple of pictures of me in my house but Nevermore would give them more opportunities. It could be a student, a teacher...an old nemesis. Suddenly i'm reminded of Laurel and Tyler. Before i can really pinpoint suspects, i'm horribly interrupted by the booming voice of my roommate. Enid.
"WEDNESDAY!!! OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!"
Yes Enid. Cause a scene. Bring more attention to my arrival.
"I would appreciate it if your voice can be brought down to a lowe-"
Enid hugs me. So very tightly.
"IM SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU BACK"
I knew there wouldn't be any reasoning her to let me go so i hugged back slightly.
"Yes it's good to see you too Enid. Now let me go so i can bring my luggage upstairs to our room."
Enid immediately let's go with a million apologies flooding out of her mouth.
"Why didn't you answer me when i asked whether you'd be coming back?"
"So you could see for yourself"
She had smiled brightly and for once i wasn't put off by it.
Enid had gone on and on about her and Ajax the whole time from downstairs to upstairs. From upstairs to downstairs. When we'd finally reached the bottom of the staircase Enid started asking about Xavier. That's when i realised i have yet to see him. Part of me is excited to see him. Part of me is...nervous? I couldn't understand why i would be nervous about seeing him.
"Soooo you and Xavier? I already know the boys head over heels in love with you but what about your side?" There she goes. Xavier isn't in love with me. I falsely accused him and put him in jail. No one in their right mind loves someone who has done that to them.
"Xavier doesn't love me and there's nothing on my side."
"Yeah okay miss denial. I'll catch you slipping one day."
"Enid stop with thi-"
I stop in my tracks as i hear a deep and familiar voice behind me. Oh so very familiar.
"Why hello Wednesday"
I turn around to see Xavier. Smiling ever so widely.
I could feel my heartbeat escalate. This is all so new to me.
"Hello to you too Xavier."
And this began a ruthless game between my heart and mind.
