Hearing her say those words i couldnt help but think of the worst things possible. I took a quick shower and threw on a pair of black leggings, a black hoodie and my black air force ones. I brushed my teeth and put my hair in a bun. I started to wake up maichai but i decided to just call him later instead. On my way to the air port i bought a ticket online. Im so aggravated! My father never did drugs in his damn life and as soon as he get with that bitch she changed him. He never even liked medicine so why the hell did he overdose. He is a successful lawyer not a fucking drug user. I parked car and walked in the airport

3 hours later

After that long plane ride i had to wait for a cab. During my wait i turned my phone off airplane mode to see chai called me a few times. I decided to go ahead and call him since im waiting. After 3rings he finally answered.

"Yooo where you at? I woke up and you was gone. You had a pop of client?" He asked

"No my daddy is in the hospital" i started to explain.

"Where? I can come if you want?" He offered.

"Noo im in Mississippi. I never told you but we had this big ass argument and he moved there with his wife. She called me this morning saying that my daddy had a overdose."

Unlike some people i dont show my emotions on my sleeve or a-least i try not too. My daddy taught me at a young age never to let anyone know how you really feel in the inside. as much as i wanted to cry for my daddy or do the most i really couldnt. Instead i got to be a grown woman and save that shit for when im alone in the bathroom once no one is around.

"Damn baby you shouldve woke me up"

"Im good. I just want to make sure my daddy is okay" i said not telling him how i really feel.

"Chai i gotta go the cab is here. Ill call you once i figure out wassup with him okay?" I responded walking towards cab.

"iight baby" he answered and i hung up.

I gave the driver the directions i was given and i sat back thinking of how i would approach the situation. 10 mins later i walked to the nurse at the desk and gave her my daddy's name. She directed me on where to go and i did just that.
I walked in my daddy's hospital room to see he was sleeping. I saw that bitch of a wife or whatever the hell she is was sitting there reading a book.

"Thats a book on 50 ways to kill your man?" I asked

"What? hello Kaycee. And what are you talking about?"she asked

"So you trying to kill my daddy now huh? you got him on drugs to get the insurance money? Just because yall married" i asked

Thats part of the reason my daddy and stopped talking. They went to court and got married out of the blue but that was just the cherry on top of all the bullshit.

"So now you so concerned little girl? You havent talked to your father in almost a year and wanna come in here accusing shit" she asked while putting her book down.

"im a grown ass wom--" i started to say but was cut off my the doctor.

"Hello are you two the immediate family?" He doctor asked.

"I am, she's not" i said while rolling my eyes.

"We are sir. Im his wife and she's his daughter"

"Okay great! we were able to pump his stomach. We ran test and it turned out his had a mixture of things that did go together in his system" the doctor started to explain.

"Such as?" I asked.

"Well within his stomach besides food we found half way dissolved pain pills and cocaine within his bloodline"
