Chapter 1: Hard Knock Life

Getting up for school, Arizona, took a deep sigh and looked out the window. She whispered "let summer break come", because she did not want to go to school.

Arizona doesn't hate school, she likes it, the whole idea of learning something more. However, the thing is, she gets bullied. Kids always pick on her, especially this one particular boy named Jason. He's known for bullying a lot of the "losers" at the school. Her intimidates the kids so much they be afraid to tell their parents. And out of all the other kids, he loves picking on Arizona.

Despite a lot of kids backing down from him, Arizona stands up for herself. She fought him many times after school and during recess. Even though she loses the fights, she doesn't stay down, she'll get back up. It's something she takes after her idol, Pigeon. He's the city's vigilante. Some people doesn't like him, or believe that he's even real despite the millions of live footage. But Arizona adores the guy. You can say he's her little celebrity crush, if he's considered one.

Arizona got up from her bed and began to get ready for school.
"Arizona, hurry up!" Her older sister called.

"Okay, I'm coming." Walking out the house, Arizona saw Zacharias sitting on his porch.

"Hey Zach, you need a ride?" Arizona asked.

"Umm, yeah, I guess." Zach got inside the car as Arizona hugged him.

"How are you doing, Zach?" Arizona greeted him.

"Good."

"Buckle up you two." Nevada said, Arizona's older sister.

Arriving at the school, Arizona saw Jason, Ralph, and Carny near the school door.
"Oh, no." She said to herself. Nevada pulled up in the car riders lane.

"Alright y'all, we're here, have a nice day." said Nevada.

Arizona grabbed her backpack in a hesitant way and walked to the school building. Nevada saw the look on Arizona's face and she could tell something was bothering her.
