Arizona walked downstairs ready to get some ice cream.
“I’m ready, Nevada.” she said.
“Okay, we just gotta wait for Robbie.”
“What’s taking him so long?”
“I see you haven’t heard of the word ‘patience’.”
“I do know how to be patient.”
“Doesn’t seem like it to me.”
“Okay fine, I’ll show you. Watch, I can be patient.” Arizona sat on the couch and read her book. 2 minutes later and they're still waiting on Robbie.
“Okay, I admit he’s running late.” Nevada said as she kept looking back and forth at her watch and phone, trying to keep track of the time.
“Looks like somebody’s not being patient.” Arizona said as she giggled.
“Shut up.” Just as Nevada was about to call Robbie there was a knock on the door.
“This better be him.” Nevada said as she went to go get the door.
“Hi…” Robbie said nervously, as he knew that he was late.
“Where were you!?” Nevada shouted.
“I had some chores to do, that's all.”
“So chores take 2 hours to finish?” Arizona said.
Avoiding the question, Robbie turned his attention to Arizona. “Oh hello, you must be-”
“Arizona Pride at your service. So, you're the boyfriend?"
“Friend.” Nevada remarked.
“I’m just kidding.”
“Haha, so I see you got sass.” Robbie said.
“Come on, let’s go.” Nevada said.
They arrived at the ice cream shop, Arizona sat down at the table while Robbie and Nevada ordered the ice creams. When they got the ice creams they went and sat down by Arizona. She dug into the ice cream and ate it like she never had ice cream before.
“Sayy, I shoulda brought more ice cream if I knew you were gonna crave on it like that.” Nevada said.
“You remind me of me when I was your age.” Robbie said. Arizona ignored everything he said. At that moment it was just her and the ice cream.
“He's talking to you.” Nevada said.
“Hm?”
“Ari?”
“What?”
“Say. Something. Back."
“What did he say?” Robbie started to laugh.
“You are funny, Arizona.” Robbie said.
“Thank you, I guess.” As they continued to eat their ice cream, Nevada got a call from her boss.
“Hello?”
“Hi Nevada, I know it’s supposed to be your day off, but Charlotte got sick today and we need somebody to do the read-along with the kids.”
“Don’t worry Ms. Coddwell, I’ll be there.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, no problem.”
“Oh thanks Nevada. I knew we could count on you.” Nevada hung up the phone and told them she had to go.
“So does that mean you’ll take her home after you’re both done?”
“Yeah, no problem.”
“Okay, bye you guys.”
“Bye.” they both said.
Robbie faced Arizona, “Welp it looks like it’s just me and you, Goblin.”
“You did not just call me that.”
