》Bahtoh pov《

Y/N shakes the whole way to the kennels, the metal of their armor making a soft rattling noise. Their hand holds mine in a death grip, as if they are scared I disappear. I remember how that felt, and it pains me that they're experiencing it as well.

I remember when Ayull found me, alone and afraid. Abandoned.

"Where are we going?" Y/N mutters the question.

"A place that brings me joy, and I hope it will do the same for you."

"Who are we meeting?"

"That part is a surprise." I squeeze Y/N's hand with assurance.

They go quiet at that, choosing to instead observe the walls. The elevator ride is full of awkwardness, and the smell of Y/N's conflicting emotions. Sad, mad, scared, curious, and all in between. I wish to calm these emotions, or at least give Y/N the ability to think clearly.

》Y/N  pov《

I recognise the way we are going. Down the elevator, past the training room. To the room marked "kennels". Bahtoh is trying to help, I know he is, and I'm grateful. But surprises aren't what I need right now. Honestly, all I want to do is curl up and sleep forever.

"Here we are." Bahtoh announces as we stand in front of a door.

He opens it with a simple wave of his hand. Before us now stands an empty, dark, hallway. Great now is the perfect time for some creepy sci-fi horror. Before I can protest, Bahtoh is tugging me along.

The hallway lights up as we enter, and I can hear the pitter patter of feet on the ground. On the walls are murals of four legged aliens. They're depicted hunting, and fighting. It is almost like they are another breed of hunter.

"Ok, there are a few rules for when you meet them." Bahtoh stops short of the door.

"Rules? What are you getting me into Bahtoh?" I chuckle a little.

"Well meeting them can be a little dangerous, and I really want you all to get along." Bahtoh reminds me of a guy showing his partner to his parents, and it's adorable.

"Ok, I'm all ears."

"No, you are made of multiple organs, fluids and tissue. You are not made of ears?" Bahtoh questions, his head turning to the side.

'He can't be serious… he's serious!?'

"Just another metaphor, Red."

"Whatever." Bahtoh grunts, seemingly perturbed that he couldn't understand the saying.

"Here are the rules: When we enter you need to do exactly as I tell you, and stay close to me. No sudden movements or loud noises." He lists on his fingers.

"Ok, seems easy enough."

"One more thing, you need to smell like me." Bahtoh's eyes go a shade lighter at that, like a kid receiving candy.

"Don't I already smell like you?" It's not like I hang out with very many people.

"Yes, but just to be safe."

"Uh huh, sure. If you want cuddles, just ask."

Without another word Bahtoh engulfs me. His arms wrap around my waist as he lifts me up, my hands reach up to loop around his neck as my feet dangle. The sensation of sharp mandibles on my neck makes my face heat up. Bahtoh nuzzles and nibbles against my neck, rubbing the sides of his face onto mine. I giggle when his whiskers skim over my neck, and under my chin.

》Bahtoh pov《

Y/N feels so small in my arms, so warm. Their hands tug on my neck whenever I move over their throat. The muscle here is sensitive. I know that much, and from what Veta told me this place brings out lovely noises.

Y/N smells so good, the soaps Veta selected are perfect. I can still smell their natural scent through the perfume, just under their jaw. They smell like salt, and clay. They smell wonderful.

Speaking of smells, Y/N appears to be growing flustered. Now they begin to smell of fire, of sweet fruits, or dangerous poisons. They smell… exciting.

》Y/N pov《

"You're enjoying this." Bahtoh purrs as he runs his teeth over my neck, his mandibles opening up and wrapping around my throat.

"Maybe." My chest heaves with tension.

Just then a bark is heard beyond the door. Bahtoh pauses his menstrations and chuckles. Setting me down on the floor. My head feels like it's full of air, and my body feels hot.

'Goddamn, screw makeout sessions, that was awesome!'

"I guess Paika is feeling impatient today." Bahtoh rumbles.

'Paika?'

I reach for Bahtohs hand as he opens the door. The room brightens with a slightly green light, on the far wall is a set of short doors. Those must be the kennels. Bahtoh pulls me to stand right in front of him, facing the kennels.

"Are you ready?"

"Hell yes." I need this distraction, and honestly want to know what the fucks going on.

Bahtoh raises his hand and waves. One by one the doors begin to slide open. The first thing I see are the eyes, they're practically glowing in the dark kennels. The first to step out is a tall, four legged, and monstrous animal.

Wait… these are the dogs that attacked me!?

》Bahtoh pov《

I can feel Y/N's panic growing, so to calm them I begin to purr. Paika is the first to step forward, her eyes immediately landing on
Y/N. They start to shake more as Paika approaches, the other hounds watching with anticipation.

"Bahtoh-"

"It is alright, she will do you no harm." I squeeze their shoulders, "Trust me."

Y/N takes a deep breath, still they shake under my palms. Paika comes closer, glancing from me to Y/N. As she comes closer I can hear a subtle growl begin in her chest. I respond by leaning in close to Y/N's neck, Paika doesn't yet know that this 'ooman is not for hunting.

I unfurl my tongue and lick up Y/N's throat.

》Y/N pov《

'What the fuck!?'

They have tongues!? I haven't seen any tongues! And he's choosing now to use it!

"Bahtoh, what the hell?" Between my fear of this alien dog, and the tension between me and Bahtoh. I am frozen.

"I am simply showing her that you are a friend, a member of our circle, and my mate." Bahtoh switches sides, still staring down the dog.

She comes closer, circling me and Bahtoh. She barks, deep and loud, at Bahtoh. He pauses in his act of "show and tell". I can still feel his breath on my shoulder, until the dog barks again.

"I am going to step away now, you need to stay right here." Bahtoh whispers into my ear, his breath tickling my skin.

"I don't  think that's a good idea. What if she bites my head off!?" I hurriedly whisper back at him.

"Y/N do you trust me?"

"Yes."

"Then relax, close your eyes, and bow."
