Yorokobi's POV
Four years Later (age 10)
I was stretching and getting myself warmed up trying to mentally prepare myself for the tournament that was in an hour. I know I have trained in martial arts for six years now but that doesn't mean that I am the only one who has. Plus the tournament is all mixed martial art style which means that someone might use karate or judo. I know I am proficient in jujitsu and bojutsu but the tournament rules was fist only no weapons no quirks allowed the only exceptions being mutation quirks which can not be turned off. Regardless of the rules I still felt I had a good shot of winning. 'Honestly I think I have a pretty good chance of winning the tournament today.' I thought to myself finishing my stretches. Mama comes into the living room seeing me finish. I look at her and she is wearing a big proud smile. "You better win Yoro or no oyakodon, instead you get grilled fish." Mama says while giggling. I now feel the weight and the severity of how serious this tournament is, and the thought of losing my precious oyakodon for the day fills me with dread and I can feel a pit in my stomach just thinking of only having grilled fish for dinner. I look at my Mama and tell her in the most panicked and honest voice that I will win no matter what. She laughs at the face that I'm making while pointing. " Yoro what's....hahahah.... with the face you...haha....you look like you need to make a deposit to the toilet." She says while laughing in between words. She is now leaning back holding her belly and laughing out loud, she told me multiple times that when I get panicked I look like I'm constipated. "Sigh... Mama can we just start going to the tournament?" I say to hopefully spare myself from being embarrassed any longer. She nods, wiping a tear from her eye and grabs her car keys.

Yorokobi's POV
Mama and I just arrived at the center. I look around and see a lot of kids my age stretching or practicing some moves. I go to the restroom and change into my gi and start practicing but not my serious moves. I wouldn't want an opponent to know how to counter it from looking at my moves. "Man the author really does like to use the words moves doesn't he?" "He sure does Yoro, he sure does." I hear my mom speak next to me. I look at her and start giggling and she does too. After a few minutes goes by the announcer starts telling the rules of the competition and tells the fighters to look at which ring they are fighting in and go to it and await further instructions. There are eight rings so 16 fighters including myself. I go to my designated ring and I see my opponent. He's a bit shorter than me with bright yellow hair looking almost golden, said hair is in a bun, he's wearing a dark blue gi and when he sees me he bows. I do the same out of respect, I may like making a lot of jokes but I do take the sport seriously. A minute goes by and the announcer tells us to commence the tournament, while he is talking a referee comes to the ring that I was at. After getting a signal to start me and my opponent go at it, it wasn't that difficult of a fight. After I threw him on the ground I put him in a submission hold. He tapped and we shook hands and then I waited for my next opponent. My next opponent was a girl with dark green hair tied into pigtails and she had yellow eyes, she was wearing a black gi, She had a determined look in her eye that said she was willing to fight hard to win, when we were given the signal she went on the offensive with karate or kung fu it was hard to tell she landed a kick to my side but before she could pull her leg back I grabbed it and then swept her other foot from under her and put her in a triangle choke she didn't tap out like my other opponent and kept struggling eventually she finally tapped. I got off her and offered her a hand up. She looked at my hand for a second before taking it and letting me pull her up. She shook my hand and said good fight before she walked away to the spectator benches. I only have 2 people left in my way to victory and oyakodon, I just need to stay focused. I moved to the next ring and looked across at my new opponent, he had silver hair that was really short on the sides and only a bit of length on the top like an undercut. He wore a black gi and I noticed that he was looking at me like I was something that greatly annoyed him. Because of that I pushed my cheeks up near my lips and made a big smile towards him. His glare only hardened but I wasn't scared. After waiting a bit the announcer said that this is the semi finals and blah blah blah. When we finally were given the signal me and my opponent didn't rush each other, we sized each other up he looked to be adopting a kick boxing type of stance, after a few seconds of that I made the first move trying to get him to the mat to subdue him quickly he proceeded to heel kick me in the chest making me stager for  bit he took the opportunity to go for a punch to my left temple which I barely managed to block. He didn't let up and honestly if we weren't wearing padding this would've hurt like hell, after being on defense for a bit I noticed his last kick seemed slower I took my chance and managed to get him to the ground he struggled and almost escaped but I managed to get him in an arm bar, after a bit more struggling he finally tapped. I let him go and I got to my feet to shake his hand and or bow before I could he just walked off the mat in a hurry. I shrugged to myself since there was nothing I could do at that moment. After that last match I was feeling a bit more pumped mostly due to the adrenalin. "We are now moving on to the final match of the tournament, the winner of this match will gain the Youth MMA trophy and will get to meet the hero who organized this. That's right, the winner will meet pro Hero Gunhead." The announcer said over the intercom, I don't know much about Gunhead other than his martial arts skills are pretty good. "Will the final two contestants come to the center ring?" After the announcer said that I made my way to the center ring while ignoring the chanting and cheering of Mama in the background. As I approached the mat I looked across and saw my last and possibly most difficult opponent, she was about 5 or 4 ft shorter than me she had teal eyes, somewhat long ginger hair tied into a side ponytail on the left side of her head with 3 clumps coming off her bangs on the right side. She wore a white gi and gave me a confident smile, which I returned.
"No hard feelings right?" she asked, sounding calm with an undertone of confidence, I smiled at that. "Hey I managed to get here too, that meansI got the skill." I said back to her with an equally confident smile. "Then you'll be a worthy opponent." she replied quickly while stretching her arms. "And our battle shall be legendary!" I called back holding up my fist. She started giggling a bit but got into a stance, I did the same and made sure I was steady but agile. When we were given the signal to fight she charged me going on the offensive immediately she landed a couple of punches to my body and when I tried to tackle her she kicked me back. 'She's good, really good.' I thought to myself trying to dodge or block her attacks I saw an opening when she threw the next punch I ducked and swept her feet, but before I could get her In a submission hold she got back up took a few steps away from me still wearing a confident smile, my smile no less genuine felt strained. She came back to me trying to land more blows, after one of her kicks I left myself wide open and she took full advantage and roundhouse kicked me, or at least she would have if I didn't catch her leg and then pull her to the ground once more, I managed to get her in a submission hold but she resisted and nearly pried me off, after a few moments of struggling to hold her she finally conceded and I felt relief and exhaustion. We both got to our feet panting, and I was standing on sore legs. My face felt like it was drenched in sweat and the headgear didn't make it any better. After finally catching my breath I looked at my opponent who was still panting a bit, but wearing a tired smile. "That was a good match. I am Fukukado Yorokobi." I said, still sounding a little winded while doing a slight bow in greeting. "Kendo Itsuka, and yeah it was just a bit bummed, you were really good at dodging and that wore me out a bit." She said returning the bow. "But next time we meet in a tournament I'm going to make sure I'm the one who comes out on top." She said in a determined but friendly voice, She had a determined smirk while holding out her fist for a fist bump. I met her fist with my own and gave a smirk back. "Well then Kendo san I look forward to seeing you try." I said, also determined. After a few seconds I was announced the winner with Kendo being second place. After the trophy ceremony I changed back into my casual clothes and met kendo who was also In casual wear. She was wearing dark jeans, a teal top covered by a brown jacket, for shoes she was wearing a pair of teal converse. I walked up to her and started talking about the tournament then eventually asking what she wanted to do. She said she wanted to be a hero. I told her that I did too, I found out that we both wanted to go to UA High. After talking a bit more we exchanged numbers and before we went our separate ways she said I was gonna be her sparring partner for hero training, I told her to bring it on.

3rd person POV
Over the next 4 years Itsuka and Yoro would meet up and spar with one another mostly for fun, though a couple of times Itsuka wanted to humble Yoro before he grew a big ego. They also had three more tournaments and they were always the finalist, they made a bet that if either of them did not make it to the finals they would have to do something embarrassing each day for a week after the tournament. Because of this incentive neither lost before the finals but the score is even 2-2. Itsuka won back to back after the first tournament where they met, Yoro won last year ending Itsuka's 2 year win streak. During this time he found out what his dad finally looked like since his Mama said that If I go to UA I'll see him on a regular basis, And when he found out that the Hobo Hero he met when he was 6 was actually his dad he laughed so hard that he almost ruined the surprise. His dad's name was apparently Aizawa Shota, his hero name sounded really boring being that it was Eraserhead. When Yoro Found out this information he immediately went and told Itsuka, she was admittedly confused as to why Yoro wouldn't want his father around, but she soon realized that like his mother Ms. Joke, everything was funny to them and eventually just went along with it. They were currently jogging around after finishing a sparring session in which Itsuka won, said girl was sporting a smug smile knowing that the loser would have to do something stupid in public. One time after Yoro won a sparring match he told Itsuka to squeeze a rubber chicken in a restaurant and say I think this is raw. Another time Itsuka made Yoro go into a department store and shout, wheres mommy while crying as if he was a toddler. Today however she didn't want to hold back. So when they came to a stop in front of a restaurant she told Yoro to go inside the bathroom, come out with his pants down and ask the employees for toilet paper. And that is exactly what Yoro did all while wearing a face of shame while laughing to himself, when he exited the restaurant he saw Itsuka on the floor laughing. Yoro went up to her giggling himself and gently nudged her with his foot she looked up at him and laughed even more, Yoro then offered his hand to help on to her feet which she took. After both had calmed down enough they continued their jog and made small talk. "So Yoro, are you feeling nervous about the entrance exam?" Itsuka asked in curiosity. "Heck yea I'm nervous, but I trained my butt off for a reason so that I'd be ready." Yoro said with determination and a bit of unease for the upcoming exam. "Hmm. I can understand that I think we got this you and I might not be geniuses but we were both high in academics at our schools. Combat wise we got this. Your mom already cleared the use of your bo staff right?" Itsuka finished. "Yeah she did. I honestly thought it was funny that people don't know that they can bring their own support items to the entrance exam if they get it approved by the principal." Yoro said giggling at the thought that many people never read the rules before the exam in advance. "Well not everyone's parents are pro hero Yoro." Itsuka said sarcastically while rolling her eyes. " Regardless, let's do our best, right?" Itsuka declared while holding out her fist toward Yoro. "Yeah, let's do our best!" Yoro said, determined and meeting her fist with his own.
