The new smile hero: Punchline

Chapter 1 beginnings

3rd Person POV
I was 5 years old when I realized not all people are born with a sense of humor, that some people can't understand a good joke even when it's in front of them. It was also the day that I realized that my jokes needed some work. I was telling my friends at daycare a joke about a blind man and how he walked into a bar, then a stool, then a table, and fell on his face. I don't know what was worse, the fact that I managed to make the daycare attendant laugh or that my friends didn't get it. Mama always said " If you keep picking at a funny bone it is bound to break", meaning if I kept trying out my material on people they'll eventually laugh, and boy did I take that message to heart, and I would later spread my comedic material to the villains of the world later in life, but first let's rewind so you can get to know me a bit more.

We start our story in a home of two, a mother and child. Said child is running to his mothers room with a big bright smile, visibly vibrating with excitement and joy, he slams open his mother's door running and jumping onto his mother's bed and jumping up and down over and over until she wakes up. "Wake up mama, wake up. Today's the day, today's the day!!" said the child with near limitless energy and excitement. "I'm up Yoro, im up, now i've seem to have forgotten what's so special about today, wanna remind me." Said the giggling mother knowing full well why today was so important. " MAMA TODAY I GET MY QUIRK!!" Yoro yelled in a dramatic way. His Mother burst into giggles and then a full belly laugh all while Yoro himself is still being dramatic. "Okay my minty kitty let's get ready and we'll headout and go see what your quirk will be." Said his mother getting out of bed with her aquamarine hair falling down but looking disheveled 'Man do I hate bed head.' she thought to herself but still sporting a smile at the fact her son started running around her shouting quirk over and over. "Will papa be there to see what my quirk will be?" Yoro asked in curiosity after taking a moment to stop running around and chanting quirk. "You know we can't ruin the surprise, my minty kitty, it's still too early. And when you finally do meet him just think of the crazy face he'll make. Remember what I said. The face of shock is just as funny as a joke." Said the mother wearing a big smile with her finger pushing her cheeks making her smile even bigger. The mother noticed her son seemed a bit down so to cheer him up she tickled him and blew a raspberry on his face making the room erupt with laughter and giggles. "Now go get ready or no cheeseburger steak for the day." The mother said while giggling. "NOOOOO!" screamed Yoro rushing back to his room to get dressed as fast as possible. After both were dressed, Yoro In olive green shorts, a tan t-shirt with a meme on it and tan shoes, his mother with a cream elbow length shirt and a maroon ankle length skirt with cream colored shoes to top it off they were both ready and started making their way out of their home.

At The Hospital
Yorokobi's POV
'I can't wait anymore!! I just wanna know my quirk, leave and have cheeseburger steak.' I thought to myself as I played with mama's phone. 'Why can't I hit that last piggy. Great now I lost, and that dumb piggy just mocking me with a smile.' I think while huffing about failing an angry bird's level. "Is there a Fukukado Yorokobi here?" asks a nurse to the waiting room. "That's my baby boy right here." My mom responds with a big smile, we get up and the nurse leads us to the room. From there a doctor starts running some tests then his eyes glow as he looks at me. After the glow disappears I sit next to Mama waiting for the results. "Well miss Fukukado your son here definitely has a quirk from the test we've run and after using my quirk to Identify what your son's would be, his quirk is capable of forcing people to laugh an uncontrollable amount, dare I say dangerous amount, that's the first part of his quirk the other part is that it can disable or erase another person's quirk until your son turn off his quirk." The doctor stated and then looked to the beaming mom for questions after looking away from his clipboard. "Wow my baby boy is gonna be like me, the next smile hero!! So how does he activate his quirk then, also how did your quirk help identify what he could do?" My mom finishes with a look of pride but also curiosity. "Well my quirk is called Quirk Scan where I can look at anyone and scan and identify what that person's quirk is and how it functions, but to use his quirk he would need to look at somebody then simply use his quirk, The only downside to his quirk is that after too much use he'll get dry eye, but with some eye drops that won't be a big issue." The doctor finished with the explanation of my quirk and I could not be more excited and one that was like Mama's I tried using my quirk and I felt my eyes tingle and I also felt that my hair was being tugged upwards not roughly but still then the next thing I know is that the doctor in front of me starts laughing like crazy, so much so that he starts coughing. After turning off my quirk and letting the doctor get his breath back he speaks to Mama and me. "Well Fukukado shonen, that will be a very good way to bring down villains when you grow up, but first you have to name your quirk. So, any ideas young man?" After thinking about and how the doctor reacted when I used my quirk I have the perfect name. "Joking Hazard!!!" I say in confidence while listening to my mothers giggles next to me. 'I'm gonna be a great hero just like Mama and Papa, I know it.' I think to myself looking to the future.
