Day Of Entrance Exam
Yorokobi's POV
Beep Beep beep be slam. I slammed my Annoying alarm to a stop and jumped out of bed with a mess on my head. My hair was going every which way in a mess of random curls, not my hair was never straight like Mama's, but it wasn't super bushy like a resident broccoli haired protagonist of this manga and anime, my hair was a bit more shaggy but still maintainable. I walked over to the bathroom and showered, brushed my hair and after I was done with that I went back to my room and put on my middle school uniform, which consisted of a green button up short sleeve shirt, black vest with gold emblem near my right shoulder, and black pants. Once I was fully clothed I put my hair up, because while I like my hair length it can basically blind me, after that was all said and done I grabbed my backpack that had a notebook and sportswear and went to the kitchen to make something to eat. It was then that Mama came into the kitchen in casual wear which surprised me because I thought she had work today. "Not wearing your suit today Mama, man the public must need me a lot more than I thought if Ms Joke isn't out there today." I said jokingly. She giggled but flicked my ear which caused me to giggle a little bit. "Just because I'm not in my suit today doesn't mean you're gonna replace me immediately. Gonna need a hero license before that." She said with pride not in herself, but directed at me. I made miso soup and egg with furikake for the both of us. When we finished eating we both went and brushed our teeth, then came to the front door where we put on our shoes, and we were on our way to UA. "Remember Yoro this will probably be the day you meet your dad, have you practiced your material for the occasion, he won't laugh but that's fine just tell me later if his eye twitches." My mom fished with a few giggles. I giggled as well because I have been practicing my material on him. I was honestly really excited to try it on him when I met him today. "Yeah Mama, I'm ready! I'm just wondering if he'll still look like a hobo from when I accidentally met him one time when I was 6?" I said while laughing to myself thinking that he probably would. "Haha.. Yeah He'll look like that alright with ...hahaha... bags under his eyes and he'll probably have his yellow sleeping bag on him too!" Mama laughed out, and the thought of my dad carrying around a sleeping bag all the time just made me start laughing with Mama.

Timeskip front of UA
Mama and I laughed and talked all the way to UA, the drive filled with nothing but our laughter and idle chatter, when we arrived I hugged Mama and got out of the car. "Show 'em that award winning smile Yoro, and good luck." Mama yelled from the car then drove away. I wore a smile while walking through the gate, when I heard a familiar voice yell from behind me. "YORO! Wait up." It was Itsuka. The fact that we'll kind of be competing against each other made me smile even more. I turned around to greet her, she was in her school uniform too. We talked for a bit outside the main building when we heard someone shout something at another student. "MOVE IT DEKU!" Itsuka and I turned around and saw the person who yelled, it was a fellow competitor in a black school uniform with ash blonde hair, red eyes that were narrowed with malice glaring at another competitor who had a similar uniform, but with curly green and black hair, emerald green eyes, and freckles who was shrinking in on himself from the other boy's piercing glare. The ash blonde guy moved away from the green hair one before anything else could happen.
"What an asshole." I heard Itsuka say to me, I nodded in agreement because the blonde seemed overly hostile for no reason. Regardless Itsuka and I went to the area for the written test, it was there that I remembered that I am a hormonal teenager, the reason why I remember was because directing the students where to sit was Pro Hero Midnight in full hero suit that seemed to accentuate her every curve. 'She has huge mommy milkers. NO I must stay focused.' I thought to myself to banish the unholy visuals flooding my mind. She told me where to sit, but not without a sexual innuendo about my youth and vigor. When I finally got to my seat I needed to calm my racing hormones. After doing so I started getting to work on the written exam. Everything was pretty easy, I only struggled with a few problems but other than those it wasn't too difficult. I finished a bit early so I decided to go to the briefing room and wait for the others, while waiting I sent a message to Itsuka saying that I finished faster than her with a tongue sticking out emoji. A few minutes later the room started to fill up with people from different middle schools. Only two other people from my middle school were sitting with me, both aiming for gen ed. I saw Itsuka sitting with a small group from her school, then I felt my phone vibrate, I pulled it out, it was a text from Itsuka showing an eye rolling emoji. "Bet you I'll get more points than you during the practical." The message read I chuckled to myself and told her she's on. Itsuka and I messaged each other for a bit before the lights dimmed a bit and Pro Hero Present Mic walked onto the stage. "Can I get a YEAH?" he asked the audience through the intercom. "YEAH!" I yelled out though I realized I was the only one but I didn't care. "You just got yourself some extra points, contestant #420!" Present Mic said while pointing at me with a big smile. I noticed that in his eyes that he seemed familiar with me. 'Maybe everyone who's part of the school staff knows I'm related to dad except for dad himself.' I rationalized to myself the reason why Present mic would know me or at least know of me. Mic then went onto explain the rules of the practical exam and the robots that we would all be facing in just a few moments. The other competitor raised his hand and asked about the not mentioned fourth robot and then for no reason called out the green haired guy from outside for mumbling. "Hey man, If you read the pamphlet you would know that the fourth robot is an obstacle to avoid that is worth zero points. As for the dude in the back I didn't know or even hear him mumbling, you pay attention to the wrong things man." I said addressing the fellow competitor with blue hair, check mark eyebrows and wearing glasses. He honestly looked pretty ashamed after I called him out and that look only doubled when Present Mic agreed with me, saying that everyone deals with being nervous differently. Present Mic finished his speech and asked for another yeah which I and few others did, though I think they only did it for the so-called extra points.
I and lots of others went and changed into our sportswear. I was wearing a dark green long sleeve compression shirt and for my legs I was wearing black shorts with black compression legging, for shoes I wore my black and aquamarine running shoes. After I was fully dressed I went outside to the waiting buses. I had already grabbed my collapsible escrima sticks that can extend to a quarterstaff or connect to be one staff. I sat next to a guy with wild purple hair who looks shockingly similar to dad. 'Oooh Mama's going to be mad that dad found someone else.' I thought to myself while holding in my laugh. "Why do you have those?" The guy asked quietly, the way he asked it's like he just figured something out too late. "Oh my escrima sticks, my quirk isn't combative so I had to get approval from the principal to use these. It was a hassle to fill out paper, but here I am." When I finished speaking I looked at my seat mate and he looked like he was berating himself. "We were allowed to do that If I knew I would've signed all the papers to have a fair chance, I'm gonna fail so hard." He said, sounding angry and hopeless. I felt bad for him and wanted to help, so I grabbed one of my escrima sticks and tapped him with it. He looked at me with confusion and fear for some reason like he thought I was gonna hit him. "We non-combatives deserve a chance like the rest, right?" I said handing the escrima stick to him. He still looked confused but he didn't look afraid anymore, he grabbed the stick and examined it for a second before looking back at me. "Why are you helping me, don't you want to be the best and make it into the hero course?" he said sounding super confused and it also sounded like he didn't believe that I was gonna let him use the escrima stick. I looked at him and offered a kind smile. "Being a hero isn't about fighting villains, it's about helping others in need. And like I said, us non-combatives deserve a chance like the rest." I declared with pride he looked at me with hope and thanks. I then offered my fist out and introduced myself. "Fukukado Yorokobi. You?"
He tentatively brought his fist to mine and said his name. "Shinso Hitoshi, and thanks... really thanks" I nodded to him with a smile still on my face while I told him that the stick in his hand could extend to a quarterstaff. I also told him that the thing could take a beating so he could let loose, the bus came to a stop and I told him good luck as I and others went to exit the vehicle. Once outside I looked ahead and saw the giant gate and wall containing the fake city, another bus stopped just behind the one I was in and a few other students came out. I started stretching and limbering up, I heard that familiar blue haired guy from earlier chewing out that same green haired guy, I wanted to go over and help but I noticed that Present Mic appeared on a giant screen near the gate, "Good luck little listeners." As he said that the gate started to open slowly I dashed toward it before it was fully open and got through then ran around looking for robots. I heard from behind me Present Mic yelling that there are no countdowns in real life and to follow me. I saw 2 one-pointers near each other and pulled out my remaining escrima stick and extended it to a quartered staff and smashed its head. "Head's up clacker, oh wait your head is gone." I said jokingly to myself then ran looking for more points.
