Don't ask me when this is in the story, just take it as a little short story.

It was a beautiful night. The snow slowly falling on the streets and little trees, the light wind that blew the gorgeous snowflakes against the windows of other buildings, the dimmed lighted streets that very little people were walking on and the slow chill that was at the tip of your nose.

Where Akamine was, it wasn't out in Japan's frosty winter night but instead inside the agency of his father's. He had left UA a few days early to go get some hours in and wounded up taking over many shifts for the holidays.

"Stuck working the night shift again?" Akamine leans on the desk which belongs to his co-worker and adult friend. "Thought you'd be at home with your wife honestly."

"Aren't you suppose to be home right now, it's past your shift." She points to the clock, the time showing 9:45.

"Kimiko, I can take your shift you know." She looked at him confused. "I have nothing better I have to do and I know how much you need time with Yamaoka."

"Akamine, it's alright you know." Kimiko assures. "You don't act like this unless something is bugging you."

Whenever he was bugged to a certain point, he would try to get her to leave before she notices. Obviously, tonight was not one of those nights where it happened to work magic.

"So, what has been up on your mind?" She tilts her head, looking at the boy as she waited a response.

"I booked another appointment with Doctor Torvald." It went quiet in the room.

Doctor Torvald was the one who has been monitoring Akamine throughout his life, being the only one who could explain at least half of the boy's quirk. Akamine had gone to him a few times before but never had he told his parents about the man. This man is also the one who told him the news, the horrible news.

"You want to see if you've done anything, haven't you?" She asked, reciving a silent nod. "You want to know if you're still going to forcefully retire at 30 or if you gained some time from being at UA."

"Of course I want to know, I was told my hero life is basically over by 30. The only reason for it being like that though is because of my dad and the training, if I know staying away from him is working then I know what I must do."

"I understand, Akamine." She puts a hand on his shoulder. "No one likes news like that but don't put your mindset on that being at UA is working."

"I know."

"When do you even go to see him anyway?" Kimiko questions, after all, she is a woman full of curiosity.

"I see him tomorrow out at his hospital." Doctor Torvald worked rather far from where he happened to be right now, whoch was a pain but also a nice way to get away for a bit. "12:45 in his office to be exact."

"Consider yourself lucky." She smiles, organizing the scattered papers on her desk.

"Almost forgot though." He pulls out 2 gift bags, placing them on the oak desk. "Merry Christmas *beep*."

"What is it?"

"Different flavors of tea from around the world, my secret santa back at UA liked drinking it so I bought some for her. Long story short, they came each in packs of 3."

Class 2A had done a secret santa, which everyone was forced to participate in. Akamine had gotten Momo but since his plans for the holidays involved him not being there for Christmas, he had given it to Momo before he left. She said she wouldn't open it till everyone else did but honestly, he didn't care.
