'Just Another Love Story'

Chapter 26

When Tenya first woke up, he wasn't really too sure what was going on. Everything felt like a complete blur on questions as he sat on a bed he magically ended up in, which then he was told of what happened.

His body didn't seem to be any pain at first but once he tried to sit up, he then found the *beep* feeling shot through him like his own kick to his gut. Despite being in pain, he was very much alive.

None of it did explain though, why Akamine was giving him such a frightening stare right now.

He had been staring at him for a good while, like he was just waiting for him to speak up. He doesn't even know why he would care to be here right now, knowing him, he probably hated Tenya for what he did, right?

"Are you going to say something or continue to stare at me?" Tenya really just wanted the staring to stop, in fact, he wished he would be back alseep to rid of the little pain he was in.

"Why did you do it? Go in front of me just to take that hit which could've spared you, why would you run in front of me like that?" So it was all about that, the sudden moment Tenya acted out.

"Did you not want me to?" Tenya was implyig the fact that it was possible Akamine intened in wanting to get hit on purpose, but really, he wasn't too sure.

"Were you trying to apologize by nearly getting yourself killed? All the mistakes and I couldn't forgive you so you decided to do this?"

Tenya stopped for a moment, thinking about it, letting it replay in his mind a few times. He left himself with the one question, one he still found unanswered.

"I don't know why I did it." He blurted out unexpectedly, Akamine turning wide eyed.

"You sas it, the poles coming right at me, went in front ofthem, yet you don't know why?" Tenya waited a second before nodding, Akamine then brutally kicking the chair placed beside the bed. "That is stupid! You better have something better than that!"

"So what if it was my way to say sorry?"

Akamine instantly fell silent, thinking for an exact moment. He wasn't one to just say sorry and boom, everything was fixed, easy peasy lemon squeezy. But this, this was something else to him. This was what made him have some sort of other feeling, like this happiness that just exploded like a water balloon or something.

Sorry was just a word to him after all, but someone acting out just to prove they want a better restart. Akamine would normally just tell them it is something they will never be able to mend and should just forget him completely.

This though, something was telling him to accept it.

"What if? Is it really you saying you're sorry?"

"I mean, it could be if you wanted." Tenya says, watching as Akamine stands there with zero emotion to tell what he's doing right or wrong. "That is not for me to decide though, but if it means nothing, I completely understand."

Tenya knew that there was a big chance it did nothing to fix his mistake he made. It all seemed proven though when he started to head for the door. Yet the boy stopped, hand gripping the doorknob, not opening it to pass through.

"Are you going to head out?" Tenya asks him, seeing as Akamine just stupidity continues to stand there idily.

"*beep* this *beep*!" He let's go of the handle, stomping his way back towards Tenya.

Tenya had no idea what to respond to that but quoting his language seemed like an only option, but he was for sure not dying more than he is now.

"Half of me says to forgive you for your acts of stupidity against me!" His fists slam onto the cushion of the bed, not to far from Tenya's hip. "The other half wants to forgive you though."

"Wait, that doesn't make any sense." Tenya clearly got himself confused for the first time in forever. "One half wants to forgive me while the other wants to..........oh."

"Yeah." They kind of just stare at each other awkwardly for a solid few seconds.

"So, we can start over at this whole, talking to each other?" Tenya asks, this getting to be one of the strangest things to ever happen to him, unless you count going to a wedding for your brother's friend who you barely knew at the time.

"I guess." Yeah, no, this was offically strange to Akamine and Tenya now.

"So, that means you're going to be nice to me while I'm like this."

"I did not say anything about that."

"Come on, I'm not allowed to move and I want food!" Tenya saus, but now he was straiht up acting really strange.

"Wait a minute, were you given painkillers?" Akamine takes one good look at Tenya, in which the bluenette starts to oddly giggle.

"No, what are you talking about?" He was giggling a good bunch, clearly telling he had painkillers in his system now. "Can I have some food though?"

"Oh Iida, no, you'll choke." Akamine was being very serious as he told the disoriented Tenya, not wanting to actually have to explain that to him later. "Why don't you go back to bed."

"But what if I want food now?" Akamine found this really ridiculous, seeing as it was something no one else as seen before.

"How about you go to sleep and when you wake up I'll get you whatever food you want?"

"Deal!" Akamine guessed that Tenya would indeed forget about the entire thing so he wouldn't have to owe him anything, which is great becuase he does not want to have to go on a stupid food run.

Akamine was then to find out that Tenya is a completely different person when he's on painkillers. Tenya was acting more of the sense of a child then apose to the strict uptight boy he was, he also happened to be very stubborn in trying to go to sleep.

"Iida, go to sleep."

"But you're going to leave me!" Now, he was just being overdramatic. Akamine rolled his visable eyes and his internal ones. "Don't leave me."

"Alright, oh my gosh." Akamine really just wanted to leave, but that was not on the agenda.

He ended up staying with Tenya for a good while, then leaving because the boy was out cold and it was pretty much time to eat dinner.

Everyone knew tomorrow they would all be out of this camp and back at UA High for some more hero training, but somehing felt different now. Everything wasn't ever going to be the same after this, not only for Akamine but also for someone else too.

But guess what?

Everything will be fine, for now.
