"So that's what happened," the man wondered out loud, bringing his gloved hand under his chin.
"Exactly" she exhaustically sighed.
"Back to the point, the Fatui are trying to recruit the locals to attack us"
A sarcastic smile formed on her lips. "Huff, aren't I enough for them?"
"Apparently not" he mumbled. She rolled her eyes.
His crimson eyes were now full of concern. "In any case," there was a brief pause "what are you going to do now?"
"Simple," you paused and made a cryptic smile. "What I've always done: sow clues in the Knights' reports."

Alongside the spring breeze and the swallows many travellers arrived in Mondstad, with a perfect timing that made it seem almost as if the wind itself guided them to its beloved city. Those days were lively. The streets were busy and it isn't unusual to come across someone from another nation. And during these days the dim in the taverns was never-ending as the locals enjoyed their break from work.
But for some, Mondstadt's festivals were not so serene.
"What the hell are those supposed to be?" you asked, eyeing the piles towering on the Grand Master's desk.
"Permissions, patrols, food controls and future missions" Jean responded, pointing with her fountain pen each pile, which were strategically separated according to the category they belonged to.
You murmured an expression of awe.
You peeked on a report, reading few lines. "Uh? A commission for the Adventurers' Guild?" you questioned Jean.
She nodded, recalling the events of few days ago. "A domain was recently found by an adventurer. According to him it may be an hideout of the Abyss Order"
"You rested your chin on your hand ."So, this means..."
"Exactly," she replied softly "as Varka ascertained, you'll be in charge of this"
Ah, Varka. Giving us more tasks than usual after he left only few members here. However, you did swore your loyalty to him after he saved you and took you under his wing.
"But for now this won't be our top priority" Jean added, interrupting your train of thoughts.
Now you were caught off guard. "Uh?"
"We must focus our attention on the festivals"
"Right... the Windblume festival doesn't require much preparation but th Ludi Harpastum"
"Precisely" she shifted her attention to the documents. "You're demissed"
You ignored the command. "You know that you're the only person working in this part of the year, right?" you asked, doing nothing to hide your skeptic yet, somehow, worried expression. Lisa and the travellers' pestering was beginning to effect you.
You took a brief glance at Jean. "I'll take care of it, don't worry" you added, noticing her conflicted expression.
"But won't it affect your schedule?" she inquired with slight confusion.
"I'm not a fan of sitting back, you know" plus you needed to rest for a while from your 'other' work.
"But!" you added with a songlike tone, a mischievous grin forming on your lips "I can always ask Kaeya to give me an hand, after all"
And with that you left the Acting Grand Master under the care of the librarian and a certain traveller.
