Many unpleasant things are viewed as pleasant by Wednesday Addams, but being called to the principal's office at the beginning of class was not one of them. Torture, murder, homicide, and things in that spectrum were, but that's not important right now.

Wednesday wasn't intimidated by the new principle per sé. But she did find him unusual, and that said a lot coming from Wednesday. She didn't understand why a man who was not interested in the safety of the children would become the principal of a school for outcasts. Probably for money she presumed. But there were many easier ways to get money. Maybe he just wasn't that bright.

After a long walk in solitude to the new principal's office, she arrived at its big oak door with the little door place which read 'mister Fletcher', the unusual use of mister probably being a pathetic attempt to win the student's trust.

She knocked at the door 3 times before a vain voice called for her to enter. She did as she was told and went inside, remaining standing at the door awaiting further instructions.

"Ah miss Addams, take a seat so I can get to the point of why I called you here", he impatiently spoke while he was browsing through a file, not even bothering to look up from it.

The pupil walked to the chair in front of him and sat in a perfectly upright position, "Is there a problem sir?"

"Yes there is, why else would I have called you here miss Addams, I assumed you were wiser than this."

"It was simply a determination to start this magnificent exchange sir", Wednesday bites back at the rude comment.

"Very well, let's get to the point then shall we miss Addams", mister Fletcher said as he finally made eye contact with the girl, totally unfazed by what she had just said, "I have been told that you were involved in a brawl last night at the inauguration celebration, is that correct?"

"Yes"

"And I was also informed that you were the one that delivered the first punch?"

"That statement is incorrect sir, the man was being a nuisance to my friend and I simply told him to back off."

"No need to stick your spines out miss Addams, I was simply asking you one question, the rest was irrelevant."

"Is the safety of your student irrelevant sir? Is that what you're declaring? Because in that case, I feel that the position that you currently have as principal of this institute is anything but suitable."

Normally she wouldn't be this vicious, but this was her friend they were talking about and he hadn't been there so he was in no place to make assumptions.

'I would watch that mouth of yours, Addams, I just went through your file and it was mentioned that you could have dramatic reactions like this. It also specified that you have been expelled numerous times. Principal Weems might've been patient with you, but I can assure you that we are polar opposites."

Mister Fletcher sure knew how to threaten someone, seems like he had done it many times before, but you needed a lot more to put off Wednesday Addams.

"But as I was trying to say before you so rudely interrupted me, do you have any idea of who the boy you fought was?"

This question interested Wednesday, he wasn't from the school so why would he be there? But her train of thought got interrupted by the principal.

"Well miss Addams, I await your answer, don't tell me your speech slipped your memory."

Wednesday answered the man with a deadpan expression: "I have no idea who he was sir, all I know is that he was harassing my friend."
