Running through the forest, following the marks in the ground left by my cousins shoes. "Wednesday!" I scream, my words bouncing off surrounding trees. "Wednesday!"

My yelling attracts Thing, who charges at me from the surrounding trees. "Thing, where is she?"

The appendage leads me towards a badly damaged building, rain starting to poor down on me. "Nes?" I yell, running into the building while wiping my wet hair out of my face.

"Wednesday." I whisper to myself, staring down at my cousin on the floor. "Hey, wake up." I say as I gently shake the girl eventually making her spring upright.

"You okay?" I ask keeping my hand on her shoulder. "I saw her." Wednesday tells Thing and I glance between the two. "Who?"

"The girl from my visions." Wednesday says as a clap of thunder booms through the sky. "Her name's Goody Addams, I believe she's our ancestor from four hundred years ago."

A rustling from outside the broken down walls makes Wednesday and I turn to each other with suspicious eyes. The two of us stand up moving over to the wall and peaking out.

"Must've been the bearded man from earlier." Wednesday says as we both found nothing. "The what?" I ask, snapping my head over at her only getting a shrug back.

I put my eyes back to the cracks finding one staring back at me. Jumping back I grab Wednesdays arm, dragging her away from the wall.

"Come on, come on!" Wednesday shouts, grabbing my hand and pulling us out with Thing following behind.

Instead of running away Wednesday decides she's following the creatures pawprints and with a tight grasp on my arm she decides I am too.

We follow the prints, rain still pouring down on us as we reach the tree line. The follow the pawprints until they start to morph smaller and small before developing toes.  "The monster's human."

"What the hell are you doing?" Xavier's voice startles me and I jump, glaring up at him, furrowing my brows at how he's dry before noticing the umbrella. "We we're following the monster." I tell him, standing up while Wednesday stays knelt down.

"You saw it?" The boy asks quickly looking behind me to the forest. "It's here?" He asks again, turning his gaze back down to me. "Do you have a death wish or something?"

"What exactly are you doing here?" Wednesday asks, standing up and shifting to my side. "You said you were checking out the old meeting house, didn't want you guys out here alone." Xavier explains his eyes wandering back to the forest. "It's lucky I showed up when I did."

"We did learn one thing." Wednesday tells him as lighting strikes down to my left. "The monster is human." She continues as I look down at the mark on the ground. "Its tracks turned from monster prints to human ones."

"Show me." Xavier says, nodding over our shoulders. The three of us turn back but all the prints are gone. "Rain washed them away." Wednesday tells us, earning a scoff from Xavier. "I know what I saw."

"I saw them too." I back Wednesday up, crossing my arms over my chest. "I'm trying to keep an open mind, Del." Xavier says and I glance back to the ground as Wednesday speaks. "How big of you."

"I do think you were right about Rowan." Xavier tells us as the three of us start walking back. "Why the sudden change of heart?" Wednesday asks from outside the cover of the umbrella.

"I texted him today." He tells her, handing the handle of his umbrella over to me while messing around in his pocket. "I said maybe we could meet over spring break and go snowboarding like we did last year."
