I'm currently stood with Enid as she greets her parents and brothers. "Delora, ow." One says coming over to me, holding his scratched up arm in front of him.

"You boys need to settle down." Enid's mom scolds as I place a hand on the boys scratches, clearing them right up.

The boy goes to run off but his mom stops him. "Manners!" She shouts at him and he turns back to me. "Thank you." He tells me before running over to his brothers.

I look over at Enid who looks like she want to crawl into a hole and never come out as he mother questions her.

"Delora!" Someone shouts from behind me and I turn to find my family. "Aunt Tish." I say, bidding goodbye to Enid's family the girl quietly asking me to drag her with me.

"Hello darling." Aunt Morticia says, placing a hand on my cheek. "You look splendid." She tells me, glancing around behind me. "Where are your parent we wish to see them."

"They don't come to these things." I tell her, giving my uncle a small hug. "They think it's a waste of time." I say with a smile, my eyes focusing on the boy behind them.

"Pugsley!" I squeal, moving over to the boy and hugging him. He hugs me back instantly  and I pull back. "You've gotten taller." I say, ruffling his hair.

"Ms Addams." I hear Ms Thornhill say and I turn to her. "Aunt Tish, Uncle Gomez, this is Ms Thornhill, mine and Wednesday's dorm mom." I explain and the three make pleasantries.

"Principle Weems is going to start soon, please show them to the quad." Ms Thornhill asks me and I nod at her, the woman walking away. "We know our way around Delora, if you wish to do something-"

"No, no it's okay." I cut her off, shrugging. "Got nothing better to do."

We all walk into the quad, ignoring the stares from the other parents. "Nevermore was created as a safe haven for our children to learn and to go." Weems starts, looking around the crowd. "No matter who or what they are."

Her words generate applause from everyone except my family. "I realize most of you have heard about the unfortunate incident with one of our students." Weems continues once the claps die down and I look around, finding Enid and Wednesday standing off to the side.

I pat Pugsley's shoulder before walking over to the two as Weems keeps talking. "I'm happy to report that Eugene is on the mend and is expected to make a full recovery."

"So let's focus on the positive and make this parents day our very best yet." She finishes as I reach my cousin and friend.

"On the mend?" Wednesday says as I grab onto Enid's hand. "Try in a coma."

"Have you been to see him?" Enid asks while people pass by us, leaving the quad. "You're his friend." Enid says in response to Wednesday's questioning glare.

"I'm the reason he is in the hospital." Wednesday says making me shake my head. "That is not your fault, okay?" I tell her, the two of us making up after the Rave'n situation. "It could've been either one of you."

"The monster hasn't attacked anyone in the past week." Enid tells her, squeezing my hand. "Maybe you finally scared it off." She continues with a shrug.

"Or maybe it went into hiding to avoid this weekend."

"Some things never change." I hear my aunt's voice say as if right one cue. Wednesday's eyes snap over to her mother, joined by her father and brother as they walk over to us. "I knew I should've worn my plague mask."

"Would you look at my family." Enid says, glancing over my shoulder to her brothers. "Talk about toxic pack mentality." She tells us while her brothers all jump around, some on tables some on the ground. "I give my mom thirty seconds before her judge-y claws come out."
