WIthin a moment you are beside Jack and Uravity. "Have you found anyone?" You ask urgently, "No, but I can hear them! Not many, but some people were deep enough underground to survive!" Jack exclaims, clearly happy to find survivors.

This, of course, puts you in a sticky situation. On one hand, The seemingly invincible behemoth is hurriedly making it's way towards you. On the other, there are people who need you. Innocents trapped under thousands of tons worth of an unbreakable metal and the corpses of their peers.

There is only one answer. You are the Protector, and it is your duty to save everyone you can. "Where are they?" you ask hurriedly. "Right beneath us." Jack answers. "Uravity, float as much of this as you can." you order. "Right!" she touches the ground, and with a slow creak, like a gear not used in a century, metal grinds against metal, and a large portion of the ground is removed, allowing you to see the earthen soil below. "Get back!" you warn. The two heroes comply, moving about two hundred feet away. With a sigh, you hop into the air, and start pushing an overblast straight into the ground. 'x10, x50, x75, x100...There!' you spot a break in the dirt and let yourself fall into the pit you made. At the bottom, is the roof of the underground housing rooms. An inch below that, is the floor. Then the lower level's roof. Then it's floor. Much of the floors seem to have collapsed under the immense weight of the dome. You spend about a minute digging through layers of stone and concrete, before finally dropping down into a lightless space. "Is anyone here?! I am the Protector, I'm here to help!" in the darkness, a beam of light appears, one of a flashlight. In the now illuminated room, you are met with a grisly sight. blood, tissue, and other annihilated human remains coat every surface. The upper floors having acted as a juice press for the people inside. "Please...help." You immediately perk up, and through the doorway the light is shining from, an elderly woman appears. "Are you hurt? Are there any others?" you ask quickly, "My grandchildren are right over here. We are uninjured, just very rattled." She explains.

You shout back up throug the hole you made, "Jack! Uravity! I found them! Get down here!" you are met with silence, followed by the ground beneath you shaking slightly. The giant is here. "Stay quiet! Don't move!" You bark orders to the old woman, and jump back out of the hole, just in time to see the monster closing in quickly on Kyoka and Ochako. You try to move as fast as you can, but the giant has a major head start. Kyoka, focusing on her jacks in the ground, doesn't seem to have enough time to notice the huge creature looming over them. Ochako, however, looks to have seen him coming. She taps her fingers together, ready to try and float the titan. You extend your arm and fire an overblast, but the monster is wholly unaffected. As it closes in to the final few feet, hopelessness takes over your heart.

You have failed.

Your first friends, the kind people who were the first to extend their hand, were about to be reduced to nothing but a memory.

Until, of course, The toxin from Creati kicks in. The beast falls limp, still on course to crush the two girls, but with no intent behind the attack, Ochako is able to float it long enough for them to get out from beneath it. "When she was eaten..." you mumble, realising that it was her plan from the start. Kendo threw her into it's mouth at the cost of her own life, and instead of knocking you down with her, Momo told you to move. On the way down, she must have produced dozens if not hundreds of doses of a highly lethal chemical. It just took this long to take effect.

"Kyoka! Ochako!" you cry out in relief. The two of them run over to you, and before having time to even relay the successful rescue mission, you pull them int oyour arms. "I'm sorry I was too slow. We can thank Momo for you two still being here." You say, tears stinging at your eyes.

Ever since Minako was murdered, you have had a mental barrier. It is not a good way to cope with emotions, but it is easy to fall back into. This wall stood strong through everything up to the collapse of the dome. It broke you. Watching everything you worked towards crumble. But Aizawa, the closest thing to a good father figure you ever had, pulled you out from it. Allowed you to reinforce the wall a hundred fold. After all, if your emotions are not in check, then you may not be able to control yourself. None of it mattered. Your loved ones were within your reach, right before your eyes, but you could not fathom a logical reason to sacrifice yourself. Others still needed you, and dying there would have meant nothing.

This way of thinking...you despise yourself for it. Feel disgusted by it. In the instant, thinking that, broke down any barrier yo uhad set for yourself. "I'm sorry." You whisper to them in the hug. "It's fine. Did you find anyone?" "Yes! There are a few survivors. An elderly woman and her grandchildren. You two get them out, and safe. I'm gonna go back up the others." with that, you rush to the awaiting final battlefield. That is, until you are met in the sky. "You..."

*Mark POV*

As instructed, Deku, Dynamight, Shoto, Gang Orca, Gunhead, Kate and I all head to where (Y/n) described the concrete block. Before we can make it there ,however, we are met with a massive army. Deku shouts something aggressivley, and from the crowd, a man starts to grow and turn a dark purple, almost black, color. The heroes around me rush into battle, cutting down the enemies left and right. The large guy rushes me, and with Kate by my side, I run to meet him head-on.

Something becomes immediately clear, though. Kate is not acting normal. Instead of our normal strategy, she seems to be way more reckless than usual. "Mark!" you give her a glance. She smiles warmly, before jumping straight onto the big guy's back. I can feel myself get a lot hotter. I am vaguely aware that other heroes arrive behind me, but focus on my sister. "Kate! Get off him!" I scream, drawing attention from my allies. Dynamight screams something in Japanese, and several of the heroes start backing away. The large, purple figure before me, grabs my little sister by her hair, and breaks her over his knee.

Faintly, I can hear the other heroes trying to get away, but I really couldn't give less of a shit. My body temperature starts rising rapidly, and within seconds I glance down and see nothing but pure flame. Kate's body hits the ground, completely lifeless, and I get hotter. From flame, comes plasma. I watch, frozen in rage, as the big guy stomps down on her head, splitting it open effortlessly. I stare down into her dull, bloodied eyes, and stop holding myself back. Searing pain is all I can feel. Emotionally, from the death of my sister, but also physically. Heat building high enough, it begins to split the atoms that make up my body. Then, nothing. Darkness.

*3rd POV*

The moment Kate is killed, Deku and Dynamight start shouting to retreat, as they have an idea of what is to come. Shoto throws up a massive wall of ice, allowing the heroes a swift escape. Unfortunately, once they get about three hundred meters away, it falls, villains with speed quirks quickly gaining on them. "Keep going! I'll hold them off!" Gang Orca turns and stuns them, but Gunhead also stays by his side. "Seriously! We need to go! That damn American's not gonna be able to hold himself!" Dynamight screams. "It's fine! We won't let a single one get away!" Gunhead gives a thumbs'up.

With a bit of help for Eraserhead, the others are all able to get about a Kilometer and a half before the explosion comes. They turn, and before them is nothing short of a nuclear explosion. They duck down and take cover, a shockwave ripping past them. The battlefield where they stood mere minutes ago is reduced to a crater, Gunhead and Gang Orca nothing more than Charcoal. Though he lost everything, Mark was able to destroy The Paranormal Liberation Front's army.

The remaining five heroes turn back towards where (Y/n), Kyoka, and Ochako were. Just in time to see (Y/n) collide with a dark, almost black figure in the sky. Black, spiky, wings Erasing any doubt of who this is.

The Angel of Death.
