~Chapter 1~

Ellie's Pov

"It's time to get up" a loud noise coming from downstairs, I had just woken up.

"I'm coming" I shouted back while getting out of my bed. I looked at the time and saw that it was 6am I rushed to the bathroom and started to get ready for school I did my hair in two space buns and did simple make-up then headed downstairs where I saw my dad in the kitchen I was really upset that he was home.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"I'm going to school, today is Monday" I said, in an unhappy tone.

"No you're not" he said grabbing onto my hair, I winched in pain. Suddenly I heard the bus I dashed through the front door only to miss it.

I started to walk since I missed the bus then a car pulled up next to me, my heart began to race thinking it was my dad but to my surprise it was my English teacher Mrs.Deluca-Bishop

"Ellie why are you walking to school?, It is 4 miles away" she asked.

"I missed the bus" I said. "Okay um hop in I'll give you a ride" she said. Without hesitation I got into the car. 

I felt safe around her. I was completely zoned out for a good ten minutes then I fell asleep.

Carina's Pov

"Okay we're here" I said. I looked over at Ellie and found her asleep, I gently shaked her awake

"What happened" Ellie said in a panic voice.

"El calm down nothing happened we are just at school, calm down" I said trying to get her to calm down.

"I'm sorry I went to sleep in your car" she said.

"It's okay El" I said. We stayed there for a couple minutes in a comfortable silence.

"Okay let's get to class, I have you for first and second period" I said breaking the silence.

"Okay well see you in class" Ellie said before getting out and heading into school. Something felt off about her today but I couldn't put my finger on it, I grabbed my things out my car and headed to class.

"Morning girls" I said while walking into class

"Good Morning Mrs.Deluca-Bishop" the students said while standing to greet me.

"you can sit okay today we will be learning about punctuation an-" I was cut off by Ellie

"Excuse me Mrs.Deluca-Bishop did I leave my water bottle in your car?" She asked.

"Uh yeah you did, do you want me to go get it for you?" I asked

"No it can wait til after class" she said. I could tell she felt a little bit anxious.
