headcanons and stuff about Chop Top

ok so first of all, y'all would tell the others that y'all are dating now and here's now i think that'd go:

Stretch: (to you) why? why him? i mean... good for y'all but... why?

Drayton: good for y'all. NOW CAN YA HELP ME SCRAPE CHILI OFF THE WALL FROM Y'ALL'S FOOD FIGHT?? jesus christ.

Nubbins: woah!! really!? neat!!

Bubba: (excited squealing bc he likes you and now you're like an honorary Sawyer and now he's asking if you'll be living with them now)

Lefty: (to you) are you gonna be a problem too?

Grandpa: (... u know he can't even cognitively hear what you're saying right? he's like... borderline catatonic.)

Grandma: 💀 (get it bc she's dead)

LG: (he's hiding under a desk bc he's scared of Chop Top after their first encounter)

Bubba likes you. anyone who can make their family happy is someone they like. if you're ever sad or crying they want to comfort you. bonus if you'll paint their nails or try to do their makeup (i feel like Bubba is genderfluid or genderqueer or something like that- just my headcanon)

Drayton doesn't really care much. although if you say things like "thank you for always taking care of us and keeping us safe" or "you do a lot for this family" he'd probably be really happy and he'd like you. i feel like he feels unappreciated.

Stretch likes you. y'all are friends. she's IMMENSELY confused on why you're dating a Sawyer, but she's glad y'all are happy. also in my mind she's dating Bubba now after the situation in the movie (and don't bother commenting "THEY WOULD NEVER" or "NUH UH" about that just bc you want Bubba. idc. i like the ship. idc if you don't.) so she kinda gets it. she'd probably smile every time you called in and made a song request on K-OKLA Red River Rock and Roll. she'd probably make jokes too about how y'all are "both dating a Sawyer brother so in a way, we're like family" in her words.

LG is absolutely terrified of Chop Top after what their first encounter was like. don't really blame him. if i met someone and they immediately started bashing my face in with a hammer, i'd probably be pretty scared of them too. he doesn't like you much since you're dating him. i imagine a lot of him calling Lefty and going "HELP! ITS THE HIPPIE!! AND HIS LOVER!!!" and hiding 💀

Nubbins likes you a lot. since he's so close to Chop Top, he'd probably wanna hang out with y'all a lot. hed probably be a close friend of yours.

grandpa is borderline catatonic. he has no idea you even exist.

grandma is dead.

Lefty is SO FUCKING SUSPICIOUS of you. "there's no way anyone would date that freak. they must be saying that as a cover for something awful. what are they planning?" that kind of thought process.

they'd probably be nervous that you're gonna freak out about the cannibalism but after the first family dinner, when you eat the chili and say "wow this is really good" they'll relax.

they won't ask you to go "hunt" with them, but if you did want to they'd help you out until they were sure you got the hang of it. you can't beat the old family habits so why not join them, ya know?

please talk to grandma and grandpa. yeah, one of them is almost 100% catatonic and one of them is a legit corpse, but they're so much more than that to Chop Top. it'd make him so happy and it'd probably bring him a lot of peace of mind to see you actually engage with them. a little "hey, grandma. nice to see you." or "hey, grandpa. lookin nice this morning." would make his day.
