Blitz had pretty much dragged me into the waking world; the sand tickled my feet as distant cheering and partygoers roamed the once-clean beach.

"Now remember, we can't be seen." I thought that was a given," Any loose shots will probably cause a panic, so Loona can help with leading targets to a better spot to off them."

Loona sniffed the given paper with the list of names before stepping out from under the dock we were hiding in. A wispy purple light quickly transformed our hell-hound into a decent-looking human. Aside from a few minor details, she looks so realistically human.

With that, she set off on luring all types of people. Each time before they even had a chance to put their dirty hands on her, precious daddy Blitz shot them right in the skull.

It was quick and easy. But was it quick enough? Millie and Moxxie got creative in the killings. Bats, rope, pushing off the building, flower pots. Everyone was doing well, except for me. My ability was limited to a small pistol, and I was only allowed to kill 2 people.

Why was I here?

It made me feel useless. Usually, I'm out there, fucking people up, but now I'm literally sitting on the peer feeling sorry for myself. It seems so stupid, feeling like this over a broken arm. No that wasn't it. It was how he treated me, How he is treating me. I can't help but love him but it feels like he kicks me in the chest and then asks me why I'm upset. I just want a love like those princesses or fuck, Naiomi is the perfect example. I just wanted a kiss in the morning and a hug before bed.

I couldn't help but observe the area. Millie and Moxxie were busy tying up another body, Loona was heading straight into a sea of horny people and Blitz was just about to realise she had disappeared.

"WHERE IS MY BABY!" He screamed frantically looking around, it wasn't that hard to spot her. He looked like a baby himself, stomping and taking the tantrum he did. I couldn't hear it but it's obvious when Blitz is literally the definition of dramatic.

I let out what had to be the longest sigh in history, I felt too tired for this shit.

"Hey Princess, It's been a while."

I jolted as my mind when through a few thought processes. So I turned around to be met with someone I had thought I'd never see again. Hoped I'd never see again.

"What're you doing all by yourself, out here?" His gruff voice was noticeable, and that cigarette too. But the weird thing was, I didn't feel dread. I know I should but I didn't. I refused to look up at him and instead focused on the chaos that was going on below. It was then that my life played out in my mind like a slide show.

"Drax," I said in acknowledgment.

"No need to be so cold princess," Drax had taken a seat on the pier next to me. He mimicked me by leaving a leg dangling over the pier while resting his arm on his knee.  I quickly glanced to my right, I was a little spooked when I noticed he was staring right at me.

"What do you want?"

"Nothing, honest" he held his hand up in defence, his tone never faulting from cheeky asshole.  "I'm here with her, I saw you and thought I'd just say hi." The way he spoke was narcissistic and hurtful hidden behind charm and lies.

"I wanted to apologise." His grin fell as did his voice, "For everything, what I did was terrible. When I lost you, it hit me how good you were for me. I want to be better, you made me better. And I hurt you" he sighed "So, I'm sorry.

"Why don't I believe you?" he chuckled and shook his head.

"How have you been?"

The conversation skyrocketed. It never ended, even if I was giving short simple answers.
