"Lucy? I should've known it was you. " Although I was shaking with fear at the time, I kept a straight face and a raspy voice.

"But you didn't because you're a complete and utter moron." In a display of disapproval, she covered her face with her hand. "How in the world can you be so stupid? How in hell can Henry be with you? It's still a bit of a mystery to me. "

"How did you even get in here? I thought it was only family allowed. I tried to pull myself up to properly face her, but the shooting pain in my ribs prevented me from doing so.

Then she smiled, but it was a sinister smile, the kind of smile psychopaths used to give off just before they murdered someone. " See, bribery isn't the only thing that can get you into the ICU." Not until she pulled out a knife did I realise she had her hand behind her back. "You can add threats to that list."

When she drew nearer with the knife exposed, I pulled myself up until my back was against the bed's headrest, despite the excruciating pain. I couldn't move anymore, even though I really wanted to. Lucy smiled as she came face to face with me and ran the knife along the side of my face that had been bandaged. "I haven't said anything! Why are you doing this? "

This time, she didn't merely trace the knife across my face; she applied more pressure with the knife's blunt edge right where I'd gotten cut. "That's right, you've been such a good girl about that." She snapped back angrily, but before I could respond, she grabbed the side of my face that had been injured, as well as a handful of hair, and yanked my face closer to hers. "But you didn't really leave him, did you?"

"The letters stopped, so I thought you gave up" I mustered up the courage to say as I felt blood dripping out of the bandage that was covering the wound.

"Holy shit, I knew you were stupid, but I didn't think it'd be to this extent." She began pacing the tiny hospital room, laughing hysterically and playing with the knife.

"How was movie night? Oh yeah, sorry, I ruined that. God, he had been bugging me to watch The Lord of the Rings forever. Of course, I wouldn't let him enjoy it."

"How?-"

Her response was mocking: "How, how do you know about that?"

"I know and see everything, bitch!" How the fuck did I so coincidentally happen to be on the road you were just about to cross right at the perfect time? I know your schedule, I know your workplace, I know your clients, I know your friends, I know your family, I know everything!" As she spoke, her voice rose in volume, and eventually, she turned back to face me. "In all honesty, I am a good person at heart, so I'll give you another chance. Leave him, or you're going to see your best friend sooner than you thought." She poked me with her nose and winked at me as she left the room.

The absolute and utter terror that I was experiencing at this very moment prevented me from even considering the pain that I was experiencing in my cheek and ribs. Even though I'm used to fighting, I felt completely helpless and like I had no control over the situation at that exact moment. As a matter of fact, I did nothing but sit there and stare blankly after her as she left the room.

Henry started destroying the place as if he were looking for something, but his vision was blurry, and he ignored Anya's yelling from behind him. He could not see clearly right up until she grabbed his arm.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Anya no longer felt confused; she was now furious at the big, tall man. Knowing he would not harm her, she took the opportunity to slap him across the face in the expectation that it would help him see things more clearly.

Henry paused for a moment to look at her in surprise, thinking to himself that Anya would never act in such a way. "What was that for?"

"How is destroying the place going to help with what has happened to Mia?" Anya questioned in a commanding tone.

"Well, you obviously don't know Lucy like I do!" Henry's furious retaliation consisted of him continuing to throw things all over the place. During his frantic search for whatever he was looking for, he would throw the couch cushions around, empty the drawers and cabinets, and even the windows were not spared from his frantic searching.

"Then explain it to me, what the fuck are you looking for?!" Anya yelled at him, but on top of being angry, she was also confused. She was desperately attempting to dodge Henry's flung things.

Henry quickly gathered his composure and responded to Anya in a calm and collected manner, given that he was able to do so. He scratched his head and started walking in circles while doing so. "Being a stunt double is not the only thing she's good at... Technology is her strongest suit. She could have everything from cameras, microphones, chips, and even hack into everything for all I know."

Anya felt a crushing weight on her chest as the gravity of the situation began to fully register in her mind at this point. "Shit, okay, what are we looking for?" It was her turn to begin a frantic house hunt.

"Plugs, clocks, monitors, everything, just get rid of everything!"

Shortly after that, a young nurse walked in. She was probably no older than 27 at the most. When she saw that I was awake, she was taken aback and, dare I say it, afraid. "Oh, splendid! You're awake; let me call the doctor for you." She swallowed as she forced a grin and pretended everything was fine.

Did Lucy threaten her?
