f/n walked down the main street with malleus, silver, and sebek as they had a quick conversation about today's agenda. lilia was not with them as he was still asleep — silver has tried waking him up thrice, but to no avail, and they were left with no choice but to leave without him.
they paused in their tracks as soon as they saw grim and yuu eyeing up at the witch of thorns' statue. f/n stood behind yuu with her arms crossed as she spoke without a greeting, "the witch of thorns... she reigns over the magic mountain. she has the ability to manipulate thunder and thorns..."
malleus, who was standing beside f/n, continued, "she was a noble witch who loved solitude, though she has many subordinates... and diasomnia is a dorm based on her spirit." yuu turned around and smiled at the sight of the two, "ah! good morning, n/n, tsunotaro!"
sebek's eyes widened upon hearing how yuu addressed his young master, "TS... TSU... TSUNO... TARO...?" grim glanced at the mint-haired first year and said, "ah, it's class 1-d's sebek."
"yes! it's sebek zigvolt! malleus-sama's loyal subordinate! you ought to apologise to him for calling him 'tsunotaro'! the mere audacity!" exclaimed sebek, causing f/n to chuckle as she said, "relax, seb. i gave yuu the idea to call him that."
malleus crossed his arms as he eyed f/n, "hm... anyway, and i allowed him to call me that... it's nothing to fret over, sebek."
their words made sebek look up at them as he said, "...oh! ...what a kind heart you have, young master, n/n!!!" silver, on the other hand, sighed as he glanced at yuu and told sebek to apologise for yelling at them as he had just disrespected a friend of malleus.
sebek crossed his arms and refused to heed to silver's request, "i do not want to be told off by you who just stands around in a daze!"
peering her concentration away from the two, her eyes stayed on yuu as she held a small, yet fake smile, "are you interested in the story of the thorn fairy, yuu? mal and i can tell you everything we know."
yuuken hummed as he asked, "...was she being left out?"
f/n and malleus' eyes widened as they slightly flinched due to shock, leaving sebek to respond, "hey! don't badmouth the thorn fairy!"
malleus placed a finger on his chin as he said, "...hm... she was outstanding... to the point that she was feared and shunned. respect turned into awe... and eventually, into fear." sebek huffed as he added, "fools who hate on the thorn fairy are no better than pebbles on the side of the road!!! human, don't ask such silly questions!"
